Deep Breakfast 295 ~ Nigm

This mix has been brewing in my head for a while now.. An inkling of it first started to pop up back in October while we were at our biannual Delayed gathering in the mountains of upstate New York. I played a set with a dear friend on the Sunday morning there - cozy & hopeful music from various corners of our collections that don't get played very often but are set aside for special moments. My favorite kind of music.. It was one of the most memorable sets I've played & brought up a ton of emotions & memories from past experiences hearing some of those songs. Memories from my wedding, memories of my brother, memories from times living in Los Angeles when Sundays were all about lounging around all day in the sunshine after nights of dancing into the early hours of the morning. We laughed, cried, danced, ate lunch, all over the course of the morning into the early afternoon. It laid the foundation for how I wanted to approach this mix for Zach.

Sundays for me have always been a day of healing - mentally, physically, emotionally. It's a day to seek inner peace & a day to be reminded of everything you have to be grateful for in spite of anything else. I recorded this mix on a rainy Saturday earlier this month, channeling all of those memories & feelings, with my dog by my feet while my wife & daughter wandered about the house, making beaded bracelets & doing various arts & crafts.

From me to you, a warm hug & the promise of spring.

There are infinite good reasons why every religion on the planet, and every true Shaman today says that the only way to the light, is by having the love, courage, and action to go into your deepest darkness within you and to face everything you're afraid of facing about yourself. Which is exactly what sacred divine plants like Ayahuasca allows us to do, this deep inner work within us as these plants take us millions of times deeper within where the blind ego-thinking mind is terrified of going. Deep inner work that cannot be done by the lies of logic and cannot be done by the everyday rational thinking mind, as all thought is in past or future, and time in and of itself is total illusion. Therefore, the thinking ego-mind is totally useless.

Only by facing all your darkness and ALL your shadows can light ever be revealed, and it is a perfect Universal law of Nature and Spirit of infinite intelligent design.

As your darkness is your greatest teacher in the Universe. And your darkness will be there lifetime through lifetime through lifetime through all your incarnations until you have the love, courage, and action to go deep into your darkness. Because your darkness is there to teach you. That's what it's there for.

So instead of projecting your own darkness unto others with the silly blame-game and labeling others in all your illusions and delusions by your silly beliefs and false projections (as all you are doing is admitting all your own pain inside you in your total blindness  that you are afraid to go deep into and face), go deep into your darkness. 2 + 2 = 5

   But of course no church ever teaches these things, even though it is blatantly stated in the scriptures, because churches are total liars as reaching for the light is what creates all the darkness within. As Truth IS Always Paradoxical.
