Inspired to make a FSOL styled track after watching some YT videos about this “dynamic duo” of 90’s electronic music:) The title “Silent genius” hit me after seeing an interview with Garry & Brian. 

Think I only semi-succeeded as FSOL used a lot of break beats. Sampling is not my forte so the track is rather lacking in that department. Was aiming for a style reminiscent of tracks; “1 in 8” and “Pulse state” from the Accelerator album (check my latest «mixtape» playlist if you haven’t heard them). May do a new version with more samples later.

Here is a long mix I made last nigh using ambient and IDM from the 90's mixed with ethno industrial from the 80's plus a bunch of spoken word records and weird electronic noises off of random records.  I was going for a FSOL essential mix type vibe.  No beat mixing just blend and cutting and scrathing plus lots of goofing around with an effects processer. I dabble a little and am a bit more selective in many genres: such as the weirder experimental side of techno, illbient, dub, 80's new wave and no wave, freetekno especially classic Network 23 records, breakcore, some techstep, some Krautrock, ambient, 80's Industrial, some art rock and post rock, classic 70's and early 80's b-boy breaks and turntabilism.  However my main obsessive focus lies mainly into old school electro and underground futuristic new school electro (Morphology, ERP, Versalife, Kan3da, Plant 43, 214, Analogical Force, CPU, AS1, Umwelt, AC records, Microlith, Armec, Sound Synthesis, Biochip, Illektrolab, Info and many more), underground acid house (JTC - The Dancing Box and Creep Acid, 808 State Newbuild are some of my favorites), razor blade edits, Moog records, perverted comedy records, Bleeps and Breaks, 90-92 Hardcore techno and early rave tracks, smooth and sleek Detroit Style techno, electronic sound effect and obscure spoken word records and electronic listening music from the beginning to now..

As has been said by many others before, "There are 2 types of music, good music and bad music".

I have about 100 of my own tracks to finish, some are already done, some just need some fine tuning. I am going to use this channel mainly for Dj Mixes with a few of my own tracks on here as well.  Eventually they will get on my BandCamp, or even better, hopefully I will get something released on vinyl.
