It includes the sunniest grooves you’ve heard this year. ’Shir Khan Presents Black Jukebox Disco Jam 01’ is a soundsystem-ready disco-house jam which tickles the subwoofers beautifully and seems purpose built for eyes-wide-shut Summer terrace play in big outdoor spaces. Black Jukebox is traversing the wide spectrum of ‘dancefloor’ music.  There’s much to excite: All four tracks are built for rooftop parties with the deep V crew.
From slo-mo housed up boogie-soul, to a loft-party future classic, to a feel-good, sun-blushed, druggy, late night electric jam, to main room filtered disco house and subbass-bugged R&B…it’s all there.  It’s no wonder the Black Jukebox Vinyl series became buy-on-sight and quick to disappear. Launched in late 2011 by Shir Khan, Black Jukebox was mainly focussed on Vinyl Releases. 13 Releases later, this is the first compilation which sums up some of the best moments and features 3 tracks that were digitally never available before.

Tom Hartney - Ruminate (feat. Dyllan Joyce)

Having featured on Eskimo Recordings' last two compilations Russian producer Antenna now steps up for his first full release for the label with the 5 track 'From Kazan With Love' EP. 

Hailing from the Tatarstan Republic where temperatures frequently drop below -15°C, Antenna shares more than just an appreciation of good thermal underwear with his Nordic contemporaries and his music, all glacial cosmic vibes, warm arpeggios and melodies that wear their heart on their sleeve, stands up alongside the best Nordic disco around.

Opening with his two contributions to Eskimo's colour series of compilations, the gentle and optimistic caress 'Sparks' and the breezy slo-mo Balearic gem 'Love 66', Antenna really reaches for the skies with the EP's third track 'Astra', the kind of euphoric Trance-Disco that's sure to cause more than a few outbreaks of emotion on the dance floor.

If 'Astra' sounds like a one-way ticket to the cosmos then it's just as well Antenna follows that back with 'Take Me Home'. Dialling down the BPMs and up the groove, Antenna finds the unlikely sweet spot somewhere between P-Funk and Prog Rock to produce some out of this world, languid space-funk.

Closing the EP, 'Waiting' reveals another side to this enigmatic producer, ditching the disco beats for something more experimental whilst incorporating stately strings and elegiac piano into the proceedings to create an unexpected, if wholly welcome, coda to the release.

Over the past few years Greek producer https://soundcloud.com/nteibint has become one of Eskimo Recording’s go-to artists producing the kind of emotional disco that is guaranteed to move body, heart and soul. Kicking off 2018 he's again teamed up with his frequent song-writing partner, Greek indie/pop artist Σtella / https://soundcloud.com/stellaonly, for what they describe as "a sci-fi disco ballad, full of heartbreaks and mellow synth lines. Between states, where we meet and where we part." 

Over a propulsive bass-line and shimmering, almost wistful, melody, 'A State Nearby' sees these two rising stars of Greece's music scene reunite to heart-melting effect, NTEIBINT's production once again providing the perfect setting for Σtella 's lyrics and softly reflective vocals.
