A kaleidoscopic sonic riot, Belgium-Japanese duo Aili's debut album Nandakke? has proven to be one of 2024's breakout hits, its joyful collision of electro-pop, electronica, house music and so much more grabbing the attention of everyone from the Belgian national press to the likes of KCRW in the United States. Now, whilst the band get ready for a busy summer touring the album, Eskimo present the first club ready remixes, re-edits and reworks. 

First up is another Belgian newcomer GAIKO, who has been making a name for himself over the past year with his own rhythmically intricate, genre defying electronica. For his remix of Oyasumi, GAIKO has plated the track's rolling bass line and ecstatic breakbeats in a sheen of chrome adding hypnotic gqom influenced rhythms and staccato snares to produce an adrenaline fuelled remix that demands to soundtrack an ultra speed car chase through neon lit streets.

Melomana Records celebrates its 40th reference, with a round EP titled “Time” by the Mexican DJ living in France, Leonor. He has released on several labels and his music has reached top positions on Beatport and Juno.

The title track, “Time,” sets the tone for her with its most hypnotic rhythms and enveloping melodies that evoke a feeling of constant movement through time. "Educate" keeps us in suspense, with its energetic mix of synths and infectious rhythms that invite the listener to immerse themselves in the atmosphere. “Prince of Watusi,” a collaboration with Neskeh, adds an extra layer of depth with its mix of futuristic sounds and mysterious atmospheres. compound. It features ‘Aeon’ by Tobias Oliver with remix treatment from

Ray Okpara. With its blend of tonal warmth and melancholic touch, this

PREMIERE – UNWONTED – A Heart That’s True (Analog Concept)

Bologna’s Random Numbers unveils the ‘You Are Dreaming! (Remixes) of La Serpiente this June, featuring Elena Colombi, BXP, Big Hands, Front de Cadeaux and Wang Inc. on remix duties.

The Italian Random Numbers imprint has become synonymous with boundary breaking, left of centre sounds since 2014, launched by BXP and White Raven who regularly feature on the label, it also showcases a wide variety of experimental Italian artists and others beyond across the globe. Often embracing the resurgence of the cassette format as well as vinyl and digital. Here the label shines a light on Amsterdam via Milano artist La Serpiente aka Marco Segato who makes a welcome return to the label and has also featured his mystical, post-industrial leaning works on the likes of brokntoys, XCPT, Dionysian Mysteries and Sons Of Traders among others.

Opening this remix package of ‘You Are Dreaming!’ is the acid-laced, slowly unfurling psychedelic original, followed by Front De Cadeaux’ percussive focused rework.

Label co-founder BXP then opens the B-Side, turning in a mind-altering interpretation fuelled by modulating synth whirrs, shuffled drums and bumpy bass hits. 

The ‘Big Hands Remix’ then ups the tempo, embracing a more off-kilter Techno feel employing the originals hypnotic chimes with skippy drums and fluttering resonant licks before Elena Colombi induces a dreamy, trance like state via fluttering bells, haunting voices and elongated bass drones. 

Lastly as a digital bonus, Wang Inc. turns in the final remix, a fourteen minute tribal-tinged journey through organic rhythms, oscillating synth lines and fragments of the original composition.

Vertigini is the alias of a prodigious talent. To date, Arthur Mukharlyamov’s infectious hooks have only been available digitally. Bordello A Parigi are more than excited to give this analogue alchemist his full vinyl debut. Four tracks make up the aptly named Thunder. The title piece rumbles from speaker cones, thick banks of bass and crisp rhythms crack before smooth strings give way to flashes of melodic radiance. Inspiration lies in the heavens with this EP, he’s leaving the bonds of earth for “Galaxy Funk”. Textured percussion is cut with acid grooves while generous breaks fuel this expedition. A fierce arpeggiator immediately ignites the flip, lancing beats pierce this burbling bulwark as honeyed notes melt in the muscled sweetness of “Final Space”. The journey back to Earth is imminent, but not without one final fun-filled flurry. Rich drum patterns are the foundation for the sticky groove of “Space Trip”. ATTAR! is the solo project of Belgian artist Renaud Deru. He has been bringing a festive mood to his sets all around the world and making a name as a remixer for great artists such as Gossip, Chrome Canyons, Giorgio Moroder & Citizens! Renaud has been around. He used to be half of Belgian act Mustang and has been in control of parties for two of the greatest Belgian clubs -Dirty Dancing and Libertine Supersport- for over a decade now.

The Fool will also feature on the upcoming Eskimo compilation that will be out after summer.
