Benji B is one of the world’s most respected music curators. He maintains an unrivalled level of credibility as a radio broadcaster, a DJ, a record producer and musical director. Benji has held one of the most influential radio shows in the world since the early 2000s, and his global connections span across genres and generations. He has had the honour of conducting significant interviews with culturally revered artists and creatives, some of which are no longer with us. 

Considered a key international tastemaker, Benji B has toured the world as a club DJ for 20 years. He is currently a regular fixture at Circoloco and Manchester’s Warehouse Project. Benji runs the legendary Deviation club nights, since 2007, and has had guests such as A$AP Rocky, James Blake, Kaytranada, Moodymann, Skepta, Travis Scott, Virgil Abloh. Each year, the brand brings its signature sound and energy to Notting Hill Carnival, hosting a highly anticipated stage on the Sunday in collaboration with Killerwatt Soundsystem. 

Benji has also worked with many established recording artists including the likes of Kanye West (‘Yeezus’, ‘Life of Pablo’, and Sunday Sessions), Miles Davis and Bashy.With every project he works on, Benji B ignores dated genre boundaries and celebrates the connections between different musical worlds. He flies the flag for music’s deep history, while also encouraging the new artists who are pushing it forward.

Within fashion, Benji B worked with Phoebe Philo for a number of years on the Celine runway music until her final season and was the music director for Louis Vuitton Mens during Virgil Abloh’s tenure,where he considers some of his most special work in this space to have been created.  Currently, Benji B is the musical director for Burberry, Carven, Jil Sander and Lacoste. Music direction for both runway and film has since become a big part of his multi disciplined work in music.

Avid crate digger, vinyl collection 2k+ Multi-Genre

Started collecting in late 1999 when ‘House & Garage’ wasn’t so accessible and indeed was ‘A London Ting’.

The very first song I bought was 
KP & ENVI - SWING MY WAY and was actually on a tape cassette from ‘Our Price’ 

The first 12” record I purchased was 
TODD EDWARDS- AS I. From ‘INDEPENDENCE RECORDS’ which was based inside Lewisham Shopping centre

My first experience on a pirate radio station would’ve been Flashback FM 97.5fm in Denmark Hill then I met Mr Fox (R.I.P) at South Thames college while both students of Music Technology & Sound Engineering and he offered me a weekly slot on Lightning FM 90.8fm in Summerleyton Estate, Brixton. I brought along 2 MCs to host the show MC Fuse & Troubles all from the same council estate in Peckham, and we ended our 2 hour slot with half hour of instrumentals and them spitting bars back to back, them days would’ve been 10 drop/missed calls for a reload/wheel up. We started to gain a small local following and friends from the same estate now wanted to join what was then “Too Kold Crew” and later transformed into “WAR29” which comprised of 6 MCs and 2 DJs and changed the dynamic and sonics of the show into Grime. Mr Fox wasn’t best pleased with the new dynamic as we were a young crew from Peckham on a Brixton radio station and saw the risk that posed to the radio station and us as a crew. Having a built a little following and a network within the radio circuit we then took our show to On Top FM 95.5fm based at Corey Johnson’s studio

Marcus Nasty is a true titan of the underground, a tastemaker supreme who works tirelessly to discover new sounds, the David Rodigan of UK Bass. How many DJs can lay claim to having pioneered three distinct genres that each changed the face of British dance music? This East London-born selector first rose to fame as head of grime legends NASTY Crew, back when legendary MCs such as Newham Generals, Kano and Jammer were just young men starting out on their careers. Now the style he helped usher in is a worldwide phenomenon.

Fast forward to 2009 and Marcus could be found destroying Ayia Napa floors as a founding father of Funky. He was one of the first to champion UK attempts to tap into the worldwide house music phenomenon as a new style of fiercely British, UK garage, grime and dancehall-influenced beats. Nasty’s increasing prominence and reputation for adventurous musical choices swiftly led to the weekly primetime Rinse FM show that he still heads up to this day.

The last 5 years have seen Marcus champion the burgeoning underground UK  scenes as he stayed ahead of the curve on Bass House and UK Bass before coming full circle and spearheading the reinvigoration of UK Funky. A Marcus Nasty set is a battle royale of darkling beats, rambunctious low end and that unmistakable gully vibe. Belfast-born Dominick Martin has spent the last 30 years simply creating. He’s done so with a sort of restrained melancholy that’s broad enough to encompass a myriad of tempos and genres.
