There is no question that Street Ritual loves gritty low-end electronica, and as music styles continue to spring up and collide with one another in this ripe age of bass, we find ourselves moving deeper and deeper into the worlds of experimental and left-field music with each release. 

Our May 2021 EP, ‘Exofunk’ by Missouri producer Atreus, is a 4-track collection that embraces this style-bending approach to music production in all of its heavy-hitting glory. Combining dark and cinematic dubstep with omnitempo beats and hints of trap, neuro, and breakbeat electronica, Atreus draws upon everything we love about hybridized bass music while consistently coming back on that kinetic, low-end sound that epitomizes our label identity.

After realizing the potential of the black & white planet, I made sure to go back to Earth to get my Uncle Mike. I showed him that we can travel to this mysterious black & white planet by sitting on the same flower I had stumbled on. He brought his harmonica with him and we went into a state of meditation once we got to the black & white planet. As we were meditating, we realized this green glowing atom forming between us. That’s when we began to accept that the green glow is a real energy that is the life force of the planet. It might be the reason we were feeling so inspired and creative. After being in contact with the green energy, we were able to make a song that pushed the limits of any type of music we had made yet... 

Shout out to my Uncle Mike for playing his harmonica on this one, he is a legend.

Out of nowhere, a portal opened and out came our dear friend Matthew, https://soundcloud.com/pipusthewise. He explained that he discovered the black & white planet long ago, and he knew that there are still secrets in this world. The planet is interdimensional, so he’d been using it to create portals to travel through space. This was news to us, so he laughed and proceeded to take us to the Sun for a skate sesh. We joked, sang songs, kickflipped, and had the happiest of times with Matt. We started calling ourselves Space Cowboys who just want to be free...

Wonderland is our annual charity benefit festival ||| 3 Day Immersive Camping Music & Arts Festival. In addition to a food/toy drive, a percentage of ticket sales will be donated to a selected charity.

This winter, we’re bringing some of the most forward thinking acts in underground bass, downtempo electronic, and house music to Florida, all in the name of giving thanks and giving back. Wonderland is a communal gathering held with the intention of reflection, connection, and appreciation of art in all forms.
