A pioneering selector, broadcaster and champion of soulful music in all its forms, Marcia has been a central figure in London’s underground for decades. She’s brought her deep, wide-reaching knowledge to clubs and festivals worldwide, as well as the airwaves via stations including Mi-Soul, NTS and more. Known as “the DJs’ DJ,” her sets move effortlessly through house, soul, disco, jazz, gospel and beyond – always with passion, depth and a spirit of connection at the core.

"Cold Embrace" by Miss Lyrical ft. Invictus (0:00-2:31) explores the complexities and pain of a strained relationship. The lyrics express feelings of awkwardness, misunderstanding, and heartbreak between two people who seem to be on different pages despite a shared history (0:13-0:28).

Key themes include:

Lack of Communication and Understanding: The song highlights the difficulty of understanding each other's perspectives, with lines like "I hate that you only see things from your point of view" (0:36-0:38) and "Girl, your body language says it all. You be stupid of me not to listen" (1:26-1:29).
The Elusiveness of "Real Love": Both artists question whether they've ever truly experienced real love, repeatedly stating, "Real love, I ain't felt that in a minute" (0:39-0:41, 0:53-0:55, 1:13-1:15, 2:13-2:15).

Currently Muma Doesa is performing solo to promote her Debut Album,
"Ms. Fortune" recorded partly in Oz with DJ Rellik and New York with Siege the beat Bully and Dunna. Her Album is due for release June 2013, and Official Dual Album Launch Party with Bastian Killjoy is June 21st at Revolver Upstairs.

Muma is also a front woman with 6 piece Hip Hop/Soul band, Blunt Paper Massive who have perfomed at Moomba and Brunswick Music Festival. 
She has recently appeared on U.S. based compilation 
"The Illest Female Rappers Vol. 18" alongside Da Brat and Estelle.
MD released a new video clip for her new soul track "Untamed Hearts" ft. Jess Harlen, Pataphysics and Dj Rellik.
This track is from from her upcoming album, "Ms. Fortune".
Her style is a blend of hip hop, soul, and patios.
MD is also co-hosting "Hip Sista Hop" female and Indigenous Hip Hop Radio Show on 855am, 1pm Every Monday on 3CR Radio..

HISTORY:
From 2004 until 2007, Muma Doesa was an original member of all girl crew : Ladies Luv Hip Hop, a crew of young women emcees, dj’s, dancers, graffiti writers, vocalists, film makers and photographers.

 Highlights are Interviewing Jean Grae for Heavyweight TV, 
performing at The Big Day Out 2006, 
Hosting a dj workshop with Roc Raida at Djs United Mixing School 2008, 
and The Emerging Writer’s Festival 2009. 

Other gigs include: running an emcee workshop at the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre with Mc Liones in 2007, to help young women with lyrical compositions and performance.
