"Journey To The Centre Of The Sun", the debut release from Lovefingers' highly anticipated imprint ESP Institute, is a collaborative effort from Londoner Jonny Nash (Discossession, Crue-L) and Dutchman Tako Reyenga (Ambassadors Reception, Salon Des Amateurs). "Journey To The Centre Of The Sun" is a dive into a moody, visceral and ethereal headspace brought to life through shimmering synthesizers, swirling guitars and a chugging bassline coupled with live percussion, clearly setting the bar higher than the bulk of contemporary electronic music. On the B-side, The Stallions (Lovefingers and Lee Douglas) reinterpret the track with optimism, nicely complimenting the original with a light and cloudy yet driving house version.
