My lovely friends at www.redlightradio.net were in Los Angeles recently and we collaborated, hosting a pop-up broadcast at Mount Analog. Alongside myself, we had a full day of LA's most beautiful DJs on duty — Secret Circuit, Dirty Dave, Heidi Lawden and the Mount Analog staff themselves. This is my set from the end of the day, everyone was exceptional!

Weaving, mixing. From the components a mesh, which inevitably causes a cosmic giant in space. Open. Conclude. Compress a ball in the air from all ingredients. Distill. Filter. Make it by ticking individual threads on a device. Fill. Model. Wave. Hyperactive, interdisciplinary, experimental sound and smoke. Spread in all directions. Ritual in all traditions. All genres. Objects and materials. All origins. Live! Two, infinity. Lots. Record, play back. Absorb, extract. Grinding, pruning, screwing, turning. Automatically. New forms emerge through the manifold of individual intervention. Automatically. Naturally. 

HINTERGRUND
Die sechs, aus bildender und darstellender Kunst kommenden Künstlerinnen Katharina Zink, Mira Sattelberger, Evelin Reinholz, Vanessa Ivan, Kim Ramona Ranalter, Christina Reinholz sind seit Sommer 2017 mit ihrer elektronischen Live-Performance Cosmic Giggle zu hören. Sie spielen in Austellungen und Vernissagen, als Afterhour- oder Vorprogramm zur klangvollen Untermalung kulturträchtiger Veranstaltungen. Sie giggelten an der Kunstakademie München und Wien, zu den Domaqk-Ateliertagen, in den Baumstrassenateliers, den Kunstarkaden und im „Weltraum“ in München und im Rahmen der Ars Electronica 2017 im “Weltraum” Linz.
 
Der Cosmic Giggle wird stets über mehrere Stunden hinweg celebriert. Wenigstens drei Stunden Spielzeit, bestenfalls mit offenem Ende haben sich zur vollen Entfaltung bewährt. Elektronische Musikinstrumente, mehrere Plattenspieler, zwei Vokal-Loopgeräte, Kassettenrekorder, Synthesizer sowie Kunstobjekte und Videoinstallationen werden im Raum arrangiert und von den Künstlerinnen und wechselnden Gast-GigglerInnen gleichzeitig und improvisiert bespielt. Die Performance ist musikalisch sowie installativ zu begreifen, sie wirkt beiläufig in den Raum integriert und zeigt durch den kreisförmigen Aufbau und die Bodennähe zeremonielle Züge, ein assoziiertes Lagerfeuer der Moderne.
