With characteristic crisp sonics, directness in arrangement, and undeniable locomotive power, this remix is a real tool at the right hour in the discotheque. Freudenthal works his deceptively simple magic on this moody pulsing disco track, an original by SIRS, ostensibly an ode to dystopian space travel, a cosmic gamble, a flight to new worlds. With a clear trajectory from the outset, it’s soulful sci-fi machine-music at its core. Motorik hi-hats, perfectly-placed shimmering synth-runs, a mood of bittersweet longing and a search for a better place, replete with massive build with oriental hooks, culminating with an end run into interstellar bliss, completes this package. An already massive tune with remixes from diverse and powerful artists such as Budino (Cocktail d’Amore) and the wizard Panthera Krause, Freudenthal delivers a stunning track for prime time space disco movers, rightfully placed for release on the lauded “Live at Robert Johnson’ imprint.

AEON is kicking off 2023 with a well-known family member returning to the camp: Vhyce. His first songs on the label, released in 2021, sky-rocketed his career. After one EP and several tracks being released on our “Lost Tapes & Versus” compilation, he’s back with a stunning 4- tracker EP named Suspension of Disbelief.

Vhyce, known for his tracks to create subtle tension and tell stories with no words, has developed his sound a bit further with this EP; though without losing his remark. “The titles“, Vicente explains, “are respectively referring to the structural lateralization of the brain. The feeling of closure and the avoidance of logic in examining something impossible.”

Asymmetric Mind Shift is a song full of summer feel, which could be well needed in the rainy, snowy and cold days of winter. More housey than what we might be use to, but not less catchy this tune comes along, unfolding in a sparkling break with a classic M1 Piano- riff.

Epilogue is most probably the essence of how we would define Vhyce’ sound. Indie dance meets Roland Synths with a touch of progressive. This time, as a cherry on the cake, the main melody is played by an E-guitar.

Suspension of Disbelief and its beat-less version Out of Disbelief are mixing organic and synthetic sounds, trying to evoke suspense. A hymn-like chord theme, mystic vocals and pad- sounds guide this track to become a perfect one for a set ending the night while the sun comes up.

Nicolas Aftalion is a veteran producer of 90's house music who produced many tracks under Skylax records. Nowadays Nicolas experiments new indie dance styles under the nickname Aftalion 77. This leaded to this particular but highly compelling track.

So this release started with Jamie putting out at a video on fb, with him and Blavatsky in the studio. 
Jamie shouting av it fuckin av it over and over. 
Of course I sampled it, it always good to have things to mock Jamie with. 
Anyway I made a track with the sample and a short video, posted it on Jamies FB wall. And to my surprise people wrote me messages that they needed that track for the next gig. Darren Bell was one of them.
So here we are, we made an EP. Remixes by my Co-label boss Mindbender  and Jezzebell.
