Jonathan Moreno a.k.a. Sixtoagusto (@sixtoagusto), from Monterrey City, N.L., dj and music producer mainly focused on house and acid techno, leading his productions to hypnosis and enveloping, distorted vocals with linear basses and slippery atmospheres bouncing from side to side, where every sound is recorded analogously with synths, drum ma- chines and diverse effects, striking raw and acid vibes that rightly defined his tracks.

“Me voy de la ciudad” is the next instalment from Sixto, and the third one from Mexican label dmnsia (@dmnsiamx). An EP that comes up with 2 original tracks and 4 remixes by Mijo (@laroyalelaroyale), Colossio (@colossiomx), Undefined Pattern (@undefinedpattern) and Spanish group Gameboyz (@thegameboyz). A powerful material that tells the story of rejection to a dystopian tech future.

Brazilian based in Germany, Celestino defines himself as "just a dinosaur playing music for love since 1992". Originally hailing from Ponferrada but these days calls Madrid his home town - In 2009 Ivan founded logical records and since then the label has gone from strength to strength, with quality release after quality release - Some of which have been supported by some of the biggest and most highly respected DJ’s and producers, namely the late Andrew Weatherall, who played some of the tracks at Dekmantel and more.￼

Ivan has a Huge catalogue of releases, as himself and also with his partner in LosBikini, Jorge.

As Losbikini and on his own he has released on many of the most prestigious labels such as, @neinrecords, @ticitaci and @blindetonation to name but a few. 

Having played in several European countries such as the UK, Ireland, Scotland and Germany (Berlin) Ivan gained a lot of understanding and experience of what the crowd want. Also having played in his home countries at events such as off sonar week in Barcelona , he has also either played or been a resident in many of Madrid’s top clubs, such as Cafe Berlin, Ballesta, Phoenix.

Owner of impeccable production skills, Javier Busto (SXDNS076, FREEDL009, and FREEDL022), a seasoned and renowned producer of the Madrid electronic music scene, lands again on acclaimed Spanish label Espacio Cielo with a solid track that masterfully brings together his Post-Punk, Techno, and Disco influences. “My Own Way” comes accompanied by powerful remixes made with love by Aurum Miles, GUYD (FREEDL011), and Parissior (SXDNS206). An exquisite single full of dark grooves and obscure influences that showcases the richness and the importance of the so-called Dark Disco/Indie Dance sonority.

Label boss Parissior is the mastermind behind the remix we opted to review. His interpretation brings a stark punchiness to an already strong release. He kept the intensity of the original and added some more clout to it. Easy job? To someone skilled and competent as Parissior (Aurum Miles and GUYD), yes, definitely. Javier’s works are not so simple to deal with, they are complex, well-crafted, and deep. Reinterpret them is a tough task, an assignment the virtuoso trio of remixers must have embraced as a challenge – and succeeded in delivering outstanding versions.
