Breakdown has made a name for itself since its inception in late 2007. Having gained wide support from both top artists and radio, Breakdown has become a well respected and sought after group all over the world. The brothers have new productions coming out of the studio on the regular, so keep your eyes and ears tuned to this page for new bits, bootlegs, performances and the lot!

I could put a lot of 3rd person text in here... Mr Maed has been playing the venues for 200 years and is superior in the art of desktopmixologyophonics... but it'd all be wrong! I put tunes together cause the ones I listen to don't do what I want them to!
I like to make my own fresh stuff, but I also like to take a new stance on other people's work of art!
I've been putting music together since I was 13ish years old on my spectrum... Manually programming in those tones, trying to make some resemblance of listenable sound to the utter dismay of my very forgiving family!
I then progressed tracker style with the Amiga with its notorious 8 bit sound and 1mb of memory! The days of squashing and compressing sounds by doubling the pitch and playing at half speed!
Pushing into the pc world with light versions of Cool Edit and Cubase to the monsters of today with Ableton, Reason, Soundforge, Vanguard, Nexus and the Waves plugs.
I work as a full time nightclub manager, and part time musician...
Living the dream...
2010 I started Soundcloud and vowed to put a track a week... failed after 8 weeks! But it taught me not to overcriticise and be happy to show a track that is 4 mins done instead of fighting with the intro and the outro!
2011... I think ill make this my mini blog and ill probably update it about twice a year!
Jan - Entered my version of Richie Hawtin's tune into a competition... got nowhere... except the second blogging of a track! took the views to over a thousand, and i still get 20-30 views a day!
Interest from Anthym from the good boys at Fidget Factory Records means that i'm looking at a potential release in the first quarter... awaiting remix and mastering so fingers crossed!
Monstrous - a track built around a single synth and a massively sidechained kick/bass... awesome! chucked in the correct amount of dubstep (30 seconds).
2hb - ambiguous title, comes from the french for... haha! file:save:untitled 2... 2b, 2c, etc... the imagination goes into the music, not the titling! built for the club more than anything else. big bass, rolling subs, massive breakdown and chunky finish! just how i like it!
Alien Intelligence - Saturday days seem to be my friend at the moment! And it seems that it doesn't matter what you produce, as long as you've doubled up the kicks and synced the bassline, everything else just falls in place! Can't decide the genre for this one, as it feels like 1995 hard house ala tidy boys, but its only 128 bpm... hard electro? hellectro? LOVE it! Purveyor of new genres! Tectro and Hellectro! :)
