Hunt The Elite is a powerful, intense, focused, Sci Fi thrash metal band creating powerful and agressive yet highly detailed, nuanced and emotional music.

While still relatively new to the Southern California Music scene, the members of Hunt the Elite have a collective 80+ years of musical experience between them.  With influences ranging from artists such as Ghost, Cannibal Corpse, Yngwie Malmsteen, Cattle Decapitation, The Dead Serial Killers, The FuckLords, The TransSiberian Orchestra, Mozart and Hans Zimmer, the world has never seen such extreme technical and creative musicianship assembled together in one place.

The source of the bands burning creative power is the lightning fast, yet soulful, technical, and heartfelt turboshred style pioneered by the bands founder, Joe Lograsso.  On his own, Joe is an unstoppable musical force.  However, in 1996 - he joined forces with drummer, Kyle Payne after Kyle had eaten Joe's last taco sending him into a rage that drove him to create music the world had never seen.

Drumming since he was 4 months old, Kyle Payne has been studied by world musicologists seeking to find the "one true beat."  It has been said that his beats are MORE consistent than the rythm of radioactive decay of cesium-234. As a result, Kyle is frequently consulted by Nuclear physisicts to assist in studying new radioactive elements. The speed, precision, emotion and power of Kyle's beats can be frightening to behold for the unitiated.

After creating amazing music together on their own for years in Joe's Dad's barn, Joe and Kyle were introduced to Jessie Ellis and Shawn Davis finally building the framework of what was soon to become Hunt The Elite.

Driven by a rich family history of taming wildfires, Jessie Ellis's guitar skills can be compared to the raging inferno of an unstoppable forest fire.  Precise, powerful, emotional and in a class all it's own, Jessie's guitar playing will leave you wondering why you even bother listening any other guitar player in any other band.

Shawn Davis, the bands bass player, is 75 years old and has been playing bass since before he could walk.  Shawn provides the epic, driving low end power that gives Hunt The Elite the energy of a million supernovas.  Like the other members of Hunt the Elite, Shawns skills on his instrument are incomparable to anyone else on the planet.  Power, precision, emotion and raw energy permeate every vibration of every atom his bass strings touch

The vocals of Anthony Lograsso for Hunt the Elite have been descibed as the perfect combination of pure evil and deep, heartfelt emotion. I’ve been making music in some form or another since 1999. I enjoy listening to several types of music although I’m not very fond of genres and categorization. It’s all just music to me. So without trying to pigeonhole myself, I’d say heavy music is the best way to describe what I enjoy doing most. I try to incorporate as many different styles as possible for a more eclectic sound. Right now all the projects I have recorded with and will be posting for the time being concentrate on harsher vocal styles.  I do “clean” singing as and will have some projects on here eventually that focus on that, but for right now I’m concentrating on harsher style vocals as I enjoy doing that more.
