Revive 138 With Retroid And Jack B (11-19-2020)

As we pass the halfway point of our advent giveaway of music, we head down under to catch up with New Zealand based Brit Hexadecimal for day 13.

His offering is a classic Breaks set that was recorded live back in November when his Global Breaks Festival took place over on Twitch. The online party brought the Breakbeat family together for 2 whole days of fun and bass with DJs stepping up one after another to keep the party vibes flowing. Hexadecimal's set sees him select some of his personal favourites from the world of Breakbeat and as you're about to hear, they're the kind of Breakbeat tunes all of us die-hard fans love to listen to! Essential Alignment 2021 (Mixed Live by Essence)

Elite Force aka Simon Shackleton has had an extensive career spanning over 2 decades. Starting off as a musician and being a band member with Thom Yorke (Radiohead) before moving onto his own outfit called Lunatic Calm which had quite a successful career and a few number one tunes including "Rollercoaster". Simon has also worked with a bunch of top musical acts, remixed, wrote movie soundtracks, toured and was one to watch in the Nuskool Breaks scene. He then developed the Tech Funk genre in the late 2000's included with such artists as Meat Katie and Dylan Rhymes to name a few. This mix was recorded for Annie Nightingale and her breakbeat show at the time known as Annie On One, One referring to the radio station BBC Radio 1.
