Produced and arranged solely by record collector and beatsmith, Rhett Whatley, The Darkness Before Dawn was recorded in Atlanta over the cold, wet winter and spring of 2014/15. This project features some of Daily Bread’s most inspired material.

“I was really focused on bringing some of the sadder, depression-dripped tones out of my record collection with this LP” Whatley explains. The songs tell tales of love lost, never-ending rain storms, late night encounters, and restless minds. I really made something that has a lot of life in it.”

A couple weeks ago Pretty Lights (Derek Vincent Smith) left a couple tapes inside the Euclid Record store in New Orleans for his fans to find, after they were found, I sampled them and created this with my main man, Will Loftus, Enjoy.

This is our debut EP. It contains influences from old soul music and modern electronica. Within Living Memory contains the use live instrumentation and modular synthesis. Will and I have been influenced by hip Hop, Soul music, and old vinyl. We added modern production techniques to vintage methodology to create our own unique blend of electronic soul music, we present 'Within Living Memory.

Merging the dark energy of psychedelic bass with the grime-tinged beats of modern halftime, Whitebear’s Mor loosens the grip of complacency continually pressing on the modern music sphere. A sinister collection of swollen basslines, chunky rhythms and gritty textures, this twisted release feeds the unconscious hunger for exotic material driving us forward in the age of exploration. Bristling with tribal influences and enriched by two adapted collaborations, Mor conjures the next incarnation of what lies beneath the shadowy borderlands of the imagination.
