We are proud to welcome talented Spanish producer, Lefrenk who has been remixed by Oliver Schories and just released a full length album on Greek label PFL records. For this Ep he teamed up with Hells Kitchen who has become an emerging talent from Russia with releases on Cinematic and Moonbeam Digital to name a few.

	 'Lights' it's a groovy emotional track with some driving arpeggiated synths and cinematic strings sections.

	'Shadows' is a dark adventure with a powerful baseline, some nice detailed textures and surrounding deep atmospheres.

	Lefrenk has delivered 2 solo tracks on this EP in which he shows us his unique talent to captivate and hypnotize.
Listening to 'The traveller' you will find yourself immersed into his universe full of feelings and flying notes.
'Other Way' is a happy progressive composition that won't let you down. It has a beautiful break, and you may feel like riding a galloping beat. 

We are happy to have Applescal on board, he has remixed 'The Traveller' creating a massive track. This remix speaks by it's own,  words aren't required here.

To close this EP Van Did has twisted 'The Traveller'  into something a bit more clubby, while adding his own flavors.

Spinnen is a track I've been playing a lot I thinks it's a bit melancholic but groovy and energetic at the same time.

"Darks Side Of The Room" it's a minimal and progressive Ep, a little dark but uplifting, with funky little details and many textures we recorded, like glass and breath sounds...

Carried by impelling rhythmic shapes Hadrons´s synth-structures create a kafkaesque atmosphere of sounds. Splitting on each impact the individual particles transform and alter one another to become a breaking wave, spreading out to undefined directions. Chaperoned by a sonority seeming to be received from far away their destination is to crush down and converge to repeat the cycle till all slowly dims into silence.

The first track 'Kope' unfolds an undertow trough its spheric guitar riffs colliding with the pulsing percussive components before the cascading bass line pulls you in even deeper. Hypnotically winding its path to the main break which builds up a crescendo of all elements unleashing its full spectrum until it captures the listener completely.

After the success of Powers of Ten, Stephan Bodzin's latest and greatest full length, the German tastemaker has now invited a key selection of artists to remix tracks from it. This great collection will be released digitally—with two bonus remixes by Super Flu and Marc Romboy—as well as on vinyl on the 18th December 2015. The original album came in June on Bodzin's own Herzblut Recordings and was a hugely personal affair that has been played far and wide by DJs and danced to by clubbers all over the world. Now breathing fresh life and different perspectives into the original source material are the likes of big name stars Maceo Plex & Shall Ochin, Fur Coat, Extrawelt, long time musical sparring partner Marc Romboy, Pan Pot, Max Cooper, Agents of Time, Dominik Eulberg and many more. Things kick off with Ellum Audio boss Maceo Plex and Shall Ocin, who flip 'Powers of Ten' into a serene and slow burning track full of spiritual synth lines and heavenly pads, before Spanish pair Edu Imbernon and Coyu work their magic on 'Wir' and reimagine it as a sumptuous and slow burning tech track with a droning baseline and cosmic melodies. Influential Crosstown Rebels act Fur Coat then tackle 'Singularity' and cook up a brooding, elongated main room track that locks you into its groove and never lets you go. Next, long time Bodzin collaborator and friend Marc Romboy makes 'Ix' into a tense tech tool that balances on a knife edge as menacing bass roams and rolls below. From there, Cocoon team and live specialists Extrawelt makes 'Blue Giant' into a spooky minimal cut that is full of haunting atmosphere, festival headlining Second State pair Pan-Pot then offer lots of tense groove and sombre machine melodies on their version of 'Zulu.' In the second half there are dark remixes from Max Cooper, intense synth jams from Agents of Time, typically beautiful and musical offerings from Dominik Eulberg, tripped out techno rollers from Gabriel Ananda and two digital only remixes of 'Birth' that are deep and inviting from Super Flu and clean, reflective and soothing from Marc Romboy. Monoloc also comes up with the goods on his deep and dubby remix of 'Singularity'. This collection plays out almost like a mix, taking you up and down and through many different styles of electronic music, each as absorbing and essential as the next, and that's all thanks to the on point and informed A&R of label boss Stephan Bodzin.

After their last collaboration on Miteinander Musik with „adonis“, which was played by great names on several big festival, aswell as on bbc radio 1, Manuelle Musik and Steffen Sonnenschein are back with a bang.

The Original Mix is an Acid Techno track, mixed with breakbeat parts and really strong pad synths - all in all a fully armed track, made for the darker hours on techno dancefloors.

Ellum Audio’s Agents Of Time from Bari, italy , reinterpreted the track with a more monotone touch, supported by amazing arps and and strong drumwork, which makes the remix a timeless piece of music.

Eric Volta’s interpretation shows us a more weird and ambient-ish pumping side of „Gun“.

Listening to the EP in full you will hear that each track is unique in character and palette yet a distinct synergy is present throughout. Nadia Struiwigh and Spitbastard both deliver dark and broading textures while effortlessly layering in beautiful melodies. Staying slightly left of centre for the 37th release, Wide Angle Recordings is proud to welcome Montreal's Van Did to the label. Far A Way is a finely tuned hybrid EP that borders between electronica, progressive house, and melodic techno. Van Did's originality and attention to detail shine throughout each one of these productions, creating a very unique and wondrous listening experience.

The EP begins with Inner Desires, an intricate playground of sounds that slowly pulls you in with an array of melodies and dazzling percussion. Inner Desires proves to be a perfect entry to the EP's title track, Far A Way. With mysterious yet uplifting harmonic pads and a more conventional foundation, Far A Way straddles the edge of progressive house and electronica. The title track is a truly unique experience that will undoubtably open and close sets, and be in heavy rotation on your personal playlist. The last original mix on the EP is ManFlip, a curious name well suited to a track that escapes definition. Droning baselines and crisp original tops define this ManFlip, which is more aggressive yet strangely still quite gentle.

Both accompanying remixes of Far A Way remain true to the original while perfectly rounding out the package. French artist Melodule, who also doubles as one half of the group Les Limaces, delivers a club-ready version that brings the track straight to dancefloor. Wide Angle Recordings' artist Jelle Kuipers returns to the label with a much different take, creating a surreal rendition that will carry you to a warm, lush, personal place.



Van Did- Far A Way

Swiss imprint Hive Audio has been on a prolific run of form recently, with their 7 Years of Hive Audio compilation earning rave reviews across the board. Their latest endeavour is no less compelling, with Swiss native Kellerkind marking his return to the imprint via the dexterous hues and sultry strands that characterise the Tristesse EP. Sweltering vibes and sporadic keys usher in the title track, before a heavy-slung bassline adds a sure fire dose of energy to the already potent equation. The quieter, more pitched-back moments come armed with a heightened range of suspense too, making this one an apt weapon to draw on when the dance floor requires something special. As its title alludes to, the B-side, Le Voyage, brings the listener on a proverbial journey, with its summery, Balearic synths and groove-drenched capabilities ensuring it signs off the package with gusto. In all, the Tristesse EP its an intricate insight into the mind of a most reputable producer.

I went pretty minimal on this one, no hi-hats, and pretty much no drums actually, just a kick and much later into the track a snare comes in.....There was something about the simple repetitive 2 note melody hits and chords I landed on that just seemed to work without needing anything much else, well hopefully it works for other people too and not just me. It's been going down really well in the clubs at least, it seems to make people clap for some reason, maybe because it's so simple and kick focused rhythmically, it's got a bit of a marching stomp feel.

I stripped out most of the parts from the original, and focused on the great pads and vocal sweeps, which seemed to lead to the melodic idea somehow. It was one of those remixes which flowed nice and easily, not too much conscious thought required, I just let it flow out.
