Mickey Avalon - Goin Back to Rehab

French producer Teho is doing great this year with releases on Parquet, Cinematique, Inlab and MNL, he has recently been remixed by Oliver Lieb, Boss Axis, Lanny May and N'to. His unique live performance has been catching some attention and we hope he will keep touring around the world! He has recorded two driving original tracks for this Ep, both tracks are ready to rock any dance floor!

Teho has teamed up with Willy Real to produce "La Comedie", Willy usually release music with David Prap on quality labels like Parquet and his new label Neko Music. We are happy to welcome back Micrologue from Germany on the label. He delivers a beautiful dreamy interpretation of 'Nothing Gonna Change'. To close this release Van Did has done a groovy and hypnotic remix of "La Comedie".

Love Is Lost (Hello Steve Reich Mix By James Murphy For The DFA)

We present our fourth release of our label. This time is a joint collaboration of the duo E-Spectro and crazy artist Hells Kitchen. EP contains two original tracks: Agora and Trugbild, these two original tracks are very melodic and aggressive at the same time. Also this EP includes remixes from the wonderful artists: Logiztik Sounds, Mehmet Akar and Teho. First remix in release by Logiztic Sounds (you could meet his releases on Traum and Manual Music) on track "Agora" is melodic techno style with elements of electronic, a very interesting bass line and no less beautiful pad in the hole.Remix by Mehmet Akar (Baroque Records, Sound Avenue) on track "Agora" is a wonderful atmospheric progressive, which is suitable for playing in a club to absolutely anyone dj.It is also a great remix from Teho (Parquet, Cinematique, Inlab Recordings) on track "Trugbild", which will be enjoyed by people passionate about the music in the style of melodic techno. Great remix, who after exit of the hole, explosion your mind.

French producer Teho makes a swift return to Herzblut to follow up his excellent Hope EP from May this year. His latest work sees him team up with fellow Frenchman and huge talent Tran, who's own music has been described as oscillating between minimal and melodic. Making this partnership a perfect fit. 

Their KOTO EP sees Teho & Tran submerging us in trademark emotional and powerful soundtracks, enhanced further by their use of the wonderful sounds of the Orient. Lead cut Asakusa elegantly displays its power through its pulsing one note bass and opening broken beat pattern. Its liquid flow sees it gather intensity before the Eastern strings echo in its breakdown. On the flip we are treated to more of the same, this time lead by Kabuki's beautiful flutes, warped bassline and plucked string melody. Perfection.

A very new aspect in Christian’s work on this album is the use of vocals. While he used vocal samples for the first time in his collaboration with Ki-colleague and friend Steffen Kirchhoff on their Split EP for Ki Records, more complex vocal structures find their way into his music on „A Forest“. In the track „Eleven“ Christian works with Mohna, singer of Hamburg based band Me Succeeds, and uses her fragile voice throughout a whole track.

Here's something I never uploaded before in here, so hope you enjoy and feel free to leave your thoughts and share if you want :) 

Staying slightly left of centre for the 37th release, Wide Angle Recordings is proud to welcome Montreal's Van Did to the label. Far A Way is a finely tuned hybrid EP that borders between electronica, progressive house, and melodic techno. Van Did's originality and attention to detail shine throughout each one of these productions, creating a very unique and wondrous listening experience.

The EP begins with Inner Desires, an intricate playground of sounds that slowly pulls you in with an array of melodies and dazzling percussion. Inner Desires proves to be a perfect entry to the EP's title track, Far A Way. With mysterious yet uplifting harmonic pads and a more conventional foundation, Far A Way straddles the edge of progressive house and electronica. The title track is a truly unique experience that will undoubtably open and close sets, and be in heavy rotation on your personal playlist. The last original mix on the EP is ManFlip, a curious name well suited to a track that escapes definition. Droning baselines and crisp original tops define this ManFlip, which is more aggressive yet strangely still quite gentle.

Both accompanying remixes of Far A Way remain true to the original while perfectly rounding out the package. French artist Melodule, who also doubles as one half of the group Les Limaces, delivers a club-ready version that brings the track straight to dancefloor. Wide Angle Recordings' artist Jelle Kuipers returns to the label with a much different take, creating a surreal rendition that will carry you to a warm, lush, personal place.
