This is a super fun song, I actually listened to it on repeat in the airport cause I was stressed and it just made me feel happy. It was fun to make, the idea behind it is that I was just really stressed and anxious and overwhelmed with sound one day and wondering how I could make light of it, or how a negative thing like fear of noise could be turned into a good thing in the modern world. ( I recently went to a concert where this picture was taken and was the only one wearing heavy duty earmuff protection lmao and I felt pretty self conscious about it),.. So I thought of this story where a girl is afraid of noise but she hears this strange, scary noise and gets to a bomb shelter before everyone else. But no one takes her seriously or thinks its a big deal. Anyways everyone dies and she dances with the dead but thanks to her fear of noise she is alive. Pretty morbid I know lmao.

Fear Of Noise  (V4 - Second Attempt)

In 2017 I wanted to find out whether I had the creative capacity to write a full album. To answer this question, I decided to try to write ten tracks. This was the result after one month.

I did everything with MIDI instruments on my computer in GarageBand. The vibe is a mixture of video game music, the Stranger Things soundtrack, Susanne Sundfør, and a touch of conceptual inspiration from Jacob Collier and my exploration of classical music theory and history at that time.

In the end the project reshaped how I think about inspiration, creativity, and writers’ block. It showed me that one can create from pure commitment, with or without inspiration. It also taught me a lot about setting and completing goals. 

The working tile was “Synthy Bois” because I didn’t have a title and these bois are synthy. But I figured it’s as bad a name as any, so I decided to keep that as the title for posting it here. These are the tracks basically untouched since their time of creation. They are published in my originally chosen order but the numbering in the titles reflects the order in which the tracks were created.

Siren is a bonus I wrote in 2012(?), but updated with the instruments used for these more recent Synthy Bois.
