We’re back again with the latest episode of our record label showcase, this time label boss Bruno will guide us through his Berlin based imprint with “The Bside of… Pluie/Noir”.

The label curates artists with a unique sonic signature from all over the world, tracks from club-oriented genres to be enjoyed as home listening, and music that always seeks to push boundaries. We will also hear from the sub-label Experimental Media which focuses on ambient and left-field electronica.
Take note of the stunning audio/visual component to the Pluie/Noir discography whereby artists are invited to create a visual representation that accompanies each release.

Expect deep and moody minimal, experimental electronica, and superb production quality from an array of international artists.

"I've recently had the pleasure of playing quite a few nice gigs and also have a few lined up so the mix was basically a product of me going through the selections of the recent / soon to come shows and playing the "other" tracks from these records. Other meaning, well, there is always that one track that comes to your mind when you see the record, the track you pack the record for, that track you always play. you know? So in this mix i played the other tracks from these records. Plus a few new ones thrown in as well that fitted the flow. Plus an edit given to me from my buddy Florist, plus one of my edits. All over the vibe i would say is between Bleep and Ambient Techno/House with a few trancy overtones, but quite driving and dancable."

Alexander Francis is a vinyl enthusiast and dj who’s been part of the Brussels club music landscape for over a decade. Two years ago he decided to concentrate on what he loves best: playing deep, quirky sounds designed for intimate dancefloors, and renamed himself francis99 to mark the turning point. Inspired by the rich and diverse Brussels scene, his style echoes years of listening to a wide variety of musical styles, digging and playing records with friends at parties or during all-night home sessions.
After having hosted the Beyond club nights at Fuse with Pierre, Handless Dj and Walrus, you can now find francis99 on Kiosk Radio, at C12 or playing alongside his pals from Basic Moves.
While clubs are still closed as we wait for the waves of covid-19 to break, this bright mix pays homage to some of francis99’s all-time favourites, shares recent findings and showcases newer music from both local and international friends.

Under The Gun V was mixed by A²’s Alec Stone in dedication to his friend and other half of the production duo, Andy Panayi, who sadly passed away a few months ago. We’d never met the guys but have long been big fans of their music and they were due to play our party back in May, which didn’t go ahead for obvious reasons. We were really looking forward to rearranging the gig post-Covid when we heard the news. A big thank you to Rob for arranging this, and Alec for putting together a very special podcast. Our thoughts are with Andy’s friends and family. Merry Christmas x
