To guide us through the next simulated experience; Passing Notes Radio boss and 1/2 of the great new label ‘Companion', Pjenné [Melbourne, AUS], shows us what a utopian existence can sound, feel and look like.

Follow on as she glides through the stratosphere, looking down on the lush greenery and crystal water that our earth effortlessly inhabits... occasionally looking up into the vast display of distant stars and planets, glittering across the stillness of outer space.

Pjenné beautifully illustrates the phenomenology of nature through tracks which touch on each element, whether that be the ethereality of air, the intricacy of water, the depth of earth, or just the pure warmth flowing through this immaculately thought-out audible narrative.

We couldn’t help but think this would be the perfect soundtrack for the day peace on earth is declared, where humanity sits back and appreciates a new world— where collectively, we love what grows, exists and dies.

This small blue dot is our home… our balanced oasis in the desert of space. Perhaps we need the ability to fly to see a different perspective - and we’re sure this will help.

Next up on Carhartt WIP Radio is the German label Workshop, known for enchanting leftfield house and other esoteric expressions of electronic music. Founded by producers and DJs @lowtec and @even-tuell in 2006, the label has established itself as a globally treasured platform for house music made for intimate, offbeat dancefloors.
 
Workshop’s music comes from its label runners Lowtec and Even Tuell, as well as friends like Leipzig’s @kassemmosse, German electronic music veteran @move-d, Detroit producer Whodat, and Japanese artists like @kikikudoyo or @ikusakan.
 
For Carhartt WIP Radio, Even Tuell and Lowtec conducted an almost three-hour long mix. Lowtec composed the first half, and Even Tuell the second, bringing past material, as well as  unreleased and soon to be released Workshop music from the likes of UK producer @tapes, Frankfurt’s 808 Mate, Ital from New York, and their very own productions for Workshop and other labels like Lowtec’s iconic Out To Lunch imprint.

To accompany the show with Workshop secrets, Even Tuell and Lowtec gave us an extensive interview that offers an elaborate insight into their background and work. Recorded an hour of listening music for WMBR, a student-run community radio station in Boston/USA connected to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The radio has been going since 1946 and has an impressive cd & vinyl collection. This show was recorded live in the studio after my fantastic tour in the americas back in February 2025. Thanks to Will, Rasaaq & Sojourn crew for making this happen. One love.

A lot has happened since our last pre-pandemic episode. While streaming DJ sets may have lost some momentum, we believe there's still a space for timeless, distinctive mixes from artists we respect — whether they're long-time players or emerging talents from our circle. So now feels like the right time to relaunch the Pomcast.

Kicking things off is our dear colleague and friend, Chicago’s own m50.

For those familiar, m50 is synonymous with high-quality, deeply personal, and immersive electronic sets. His work through the weekly "etc radio" broadcasts, his productions as Area (his debut album dropped on François K’s Wave Music in 2012), and his vinyl-only label Kimochi all showcase a unique and nuanced musical voice.

When I first discovered Donato Dozzy’s early records around 2006, I was immediately captured by the warm and hypnotic feel of his music. From that moment on, I’ve been a big fan of Dozzy’s work, over the years, collecting more and more of his music - from the solo projects and remixes to his well-known collaborations with other great artists. At some point the idea occurred to me: why not paying homage to this great artist in form of a tribute mix? It took me quite a while to bring the idea into reality, but now here it is. During the process of selecting the tracks for the mix, I got the feeling I wanted to create something more geared toward home listening or a walk around the city with headphones. For this reason, I slowed things down a bit and kept the whole mix under 120 bpm.
