The rift churned like a living storm, its unnatural energies tearing at the crumbling sanctuary. Bolts of sickly light split the air, throwing twisted shadows across walls blackened with old blood. At the center, she knelt in tattered robes, head bowed, voice steady in an ancient tongue that carried a promise of hope.

Her words shone in defiance, the air around her crackling with a shimmering barrier. The howling entities beyond clawed at it, their forms warping and distorting in frustration, unable to break through. Each verse she uttered drove them back, unraveling their shapes into fading wisps of hate and hunger.

Ruins smoldered and the world trembled, but she remained unmoved. Ash streaked her face as her eyes stayed shut in absolute focus. In that moment of surrender to something greater, the chaos recoiled-and for a fragile heartbeat, the darkness found itself kept at bay.
