Following mixes from the likes of Dzeko & Torres, Showtek & Carita La Nina, Dirty Dutch presents the latest episode of their #Music Monday mixtape series, made by Sydney-born DJ/Producer Wax Motif. Currently in high demand with his fresh mixing style, this new mix tape sees him debut a sizzling new electro house selection.

The mix focuses around the prominent bass lines and abrasive electro-influenced synths of the modern electro house scene with an energetic, eclectic and electronic vibe. It features Tom Staar’s remix of 'Paper Aeroplane' by Francesco Rossi, his own edit of 'Sweaty Shirts Miracle' from Gum Me vs Coco and his collaborative remix with Yolanda Be Cool - 'We', as well as 'Computers' by Etienne De Crecy, which is smoothly mixed into Tommy Trash's 'Monkey In Love'.

Widely recognized as the originator of the "Dirty House" movement and producer of the 2011 smash "Badman Riddim," Vato Gonzalez is no stranger to making groundbreaking club music. His current hit "Not A Saint" is still charting and seeing praise from all over the globe but he's not stopping there. Although Vato has already collabed with Diplo on "Rasclat Riddim" and remixed Major Lazer's "Jah No Partial" this is Vato's first solo effort with the Mad Decent family and it's a huge Jeffree release. A dark, deviant but yet fun tune "Cats Are Evil" is a song you'd hear played over the loud speaker during a jail riot on an alien planet far away. Weird species fighting each other in odd outfits while a crazy half human / half cat jail warden looks down from his crows nest office. These are club sounds that people will try to emulate but by that time Vato will have already been busy creating a whole new palette of sounds to leave you dancing and baffled.

So… 

Here it is. The album that we've been talking about for over a year. Scheduling conflicts be damned, we made it happen! Yes, the process was long, and at times it was even a little grueling, but we stuck to our guns and we couldn't be happier with the results. 

Originally, we created about 16 tracks for the album, and then we narrowed it down to the songs that you have in front of you today. It was important to us that we create a collection of music that crossed multiple styles and genres, yet told a coherent story. It's not an easy thing to do, but we feel like we pulled it off by using themes, samples, techniques and by consciously assessing what did and did not work together.

We feel like there is something for everyone on this record and we're very pleased with the fact that we can offer this to everyone for free. All we ask is that you listen to it with an open mind, share it with your friends and come say hello whenever we play a show in your city. 

So, once again - Thank you to each and every person that showed us support over the last few years. We love working together, and have already discussed plans for a follow up album. 

For now, enjoy ANIMAL!
