Luis Manuel Garcia–Mispireta joined Gravity's event in Prague in January 2024 to talk about his research and read excerpts from his latest book – Together, Somehow: Music, Affect, and Intimacy on the Dancefloor.

The book examines how people find ways to get along and share a dancefloor. Drawing on years of field research the author explains this bonding in terms of what he calls stranger-intimacy: the kind of warmth, sharing, and vulnerability between people on the dancefloor most of us experienced.

Club Chow's taste and versatility have brought them behind the decks at notable Chicago nightclubs such as SmartBar and Podlasie Club, as well as around the US - playing underground parties in Brooklyn, San Francisco, Seattle, and Atlanta.
