The A-side track, i.e. the original version of "Boulevard" is a truly unique piece of drum & bass where half tempo kicks meet anxious pads and take it into another level of pure cinematic 170 BPM electronica. It would be weirdish if the original version of "Boulevard" was not accompanied by a proper dancefloor-focused remix. Eternia's release No. 27 opens up with a techy-but-tranquil stepper, called “Guardian” – a piece of the type of music Eternia takes its pride in. It's in perfect tune with the metaphysical standards pushed by the label. Anxious ambience, drums of steel and nervy synths make it nothing but a pure cautionary roar, expressed in the form of modern drum & bass.

What first pops out of the magic "Versions" package is the label’s debut for the man, in charge of lots of depth and noisy breaks in the whole of the drum & bass’s history. It’s Gremlinz from Canada and for his first Eternia contribution he’s been joined with recent collaborator Jesta. Their take-on for NotioN’s 2015’s menacing cut “Thundered Dragon” turns into oriental-esque halftempo-meets-breakbeat roller Eternia is always proud of.

Track number two on "Versions EP Vol. 1" is one special man’s return to the label, which we were really looking for. Here comes the man from Leipzig – Es.tereo. Actually, we’ve been missing him since our day one. It was him, whose release was our label debut. And now he took on his compatriots Survey to turn their minimalistic and very conceptually named “Untitled” into an epic heavy percussion driven industrial disturbance not every DJ would have the courage to play.

The third tune from "Versions EP Vol. 1" is NotioN’s second drop-in onto the release. But this time he is the one doing the favour and becomes responsible for the metamorphosis of another big classic – Despot’s “No Future”. With all our grief, we can clearly see that it’s not likely that we, or anybody else for that matter, will get a chance to release a tune with such an astounding intro, for the rest of the year, square. The breaks and the bass are exceptional too, you better go check your bassbins.

When you name a tune "End of Days", you are under big pressure of making it live up to its title, so the music should sound epic and pitch black, shouldn't it? Believe us or not, but the duo, freshly formed of Contact Lost and Turrican, who are not some rookies on the scene, completed the task with utmost precision. The organic drums meet apocalyptic depths, while fierce'n'heavy sub-bass drives this halfstep slowburner into an ode to the final destruction. "Jetzt aber nicht", as Franz Kafka once said - that's the feeling one gets while listening to this gem.

He's clearly loving those pads and bass and it helped him deliver a remix, which is a beatless piece of 170bpm music, which is a rarity on our label, so we're really happy to release it. If you lack some proper opening tune for you sets, don't miss this one.

His version of “Bounty Hunter” is something else. The guy chose the straightforward roller style with some by-the-books halfstep. Sounds boring? Remix No. 3 off "Bounty Hunter (The Remixes)" is another debut on our label. Took us a while to finally deliver something from Belgium based dnb powerhouse The Untouchables, although our mutual brainstorming started long time ago. Better later than never or evermore. The Untouchables serve it right to our prides. Moody, mystical, hypnotic – nuttin’ but another outcome of professionalism and the out-of-this-world formula of how to deploy those tried’n’true ideas: The Untouchables biz (as usual).

“Embody the Shadow” is one of NotioN’s recent cuts that we love. So, it comes as no surprise that we added it as one of those two special tunes for the “Cannon Seeker” re-issue. Anybody down with us, knows that we don’t usually do anything with that thing called “vocals”. Here comes the day of exception – but hey, listen, it’s still pretty mystical and Burial-esque shall we say. Any more ingredients? – check those metallic breaks and the subtle bassline. All those add up to Eternia’s “summer tune”.
