Alex Call is the writer of 867-5309/jenny, by Tommy Tutone, Perfect World by Huey Lewis, Little Too Late by Pat Benatar, Mr Moon by Elvis Costello, and many others. He was the lead singer in Clover, the San Francisco country-rock band whose other members included Huey Lewis and John McFee (Doobie Bros). Clover made four albums for Fantasy and Phonogram and Alex was a solo artist on Arista Records. He is also the author of " 876-5309/jenny, the song that saved me" on Charles River Press.
