Forever

He was born into the sound of gunfire, his first lullaby the echo of destruction. Childhood was carved from rubble and shadow, each street a reminder of what had been lost. He watched his mother and father fall to a world that seemed designed to break him, yet their absence became the forge that tempered him. The hurt cut deep, but instead of hardening him with hate, it taught him humility.

Every scar in his heart whispered lessons of endurance, every memory a quiet testament to survival. He became a man of pain, carrying the weight of loss, yet his soul remained uncluttered by blame. The world had taken much, but it had not stolen his capacity for kindness, nor his ability to hold space for others without resentment.

In his eyes, you could see the echoes of grief and the calm of a heart that had learned to bend without breaking. Though forged in fire and shadowed by sorrow, he walked the earth with quiet strength, a man shaped by loss, yet defined by love, humility, and a peace that comes not from forgetting, but from choosing to rise above the world’s cruelty.

A Child Of War, A Man Of Pain

The Japanese translation was released on "Melancholy Prequel" before our English version came out, but our version was actually written and recorded first, and then our Japanese counterparts wrote their version based on our lyrics. You can find our track on Marcus D's "Melancholy Hopeful" album.
