For the newest instalment, i'm really happy to welcome the incredible Brussels-based AliA (@aliamusicc). The local mainstay is a regular on Kiosk radio and runs her own label - @artisjokrecords. Alyah, better known as AliA,  has an exciting & unique approach to dj'ing. She is known for her blend of contemporary club music with jazz, classical and experimental sounds. 

I find AliA's musical outputs incredibly refreshing - the kind of artist who reminds you what a really good DJ can do - they can present genres & sounds to you that you'd otherwise maybe not typically explore, in a new and exciting way. For her Animix, Alyah has gone for an intensely chill blend of ambient & immersive music, with minimal, glitchy, dub techno, jazz, classical sounds and more.

Bringing you a new mix from Ayash, a longtime creative force in Yogyakarta (ID)’s scene, where sound and image blur. Whether exhibiting artwork, crafting visual design, or casually stepping behind the decks, her practice thrives at the intersection of mediums. Known for weaving hybrid experiences, Ayash draws from her travels to ancient cultural sites, translating those encounters into layered, contemporary sonic landscapes.

For this mix, she reinterprets those impressions into a vivid, shape-shifting energy, expect a deep, atmospheric set that moves between memory and motion, where ritual meets rhythm.

 Welcome to the Transmissions mix series, featuring sets recorded at our parties at FOLD. 

For our opening mix, we’re delighted to share a recent Steam Room session with the Bangkok-based selector and producer Sunju Hargun. 

For two hours, he delivered a masterclass of immersive, deep and psychedelic techno. And true to style, the set is a seamless flow of intricate rhythms and subtly shifting textures, shadowy grooves and pulsating basslines.  

This mix was mastered in the Area52 Studio.
