Doing this mix for i-D was a lot of fun as it gave me a chance to re visit and spend some time with my old record collection. I decided not to go for the most refined “headz” selection, but instead opt for the ones which brought me the happiest memories. Ive erred towards the 1993 - 1994 ‘proto' era when Hardcore was starting to split up into what would become Jungle on the one side and the other side of things Happy Hardcore. "

Time for another oldskool hardcore mix!  Breaks Vol 4 goes up-tempo to 150BPM and is full of tunes from 92 and 93 with an emphasis on 93.  It's a mixed bag again, ranging from harder tracks to uplifting breaks and with a good amount of lesser known stuff and a few obvious classics, all pretty much banging though, I reckon!

Quick mix I did of some records I had hanging around in a crate near my decks.
17 tracks, 30 mins , all vinyl (duh), all live (duh).Big tunes, obscurities, darker stuff, hands in the air stuff. All sounding pretty grimey since my needles are trashed and some of these records have seen a few too many plays, but all tunes I really love and am happy to have in one mix now.
