Visiting Hamburg is always a special thing for me. Gängeviertel, hanseatische Materialverwaltung, the people of Karl Kutter and: @suedpol-hamburg, the crazy bunch thats also behind Tanzwüste at Fusion. 

A lot of my understanding of rave and community goes back to these places. Man - I was even there, when G20 turned everything upside down. 

Thats why I'm always thankful and relieved, when I get back there and these little islands of resistance still exist and fight back. Though it's getting harder by the day.

Now a dream came true and I was asked to play at the notourish Südpol. Saturday to Sunday night, Oben from 04-07 in the morning. Together with @urem, @Lisbird & @hovrmusic and many other friends we packed our stuff and got on our way. 

I'm super happy to share with you the experience of this 3h Expedition! Thanks to the very zornige Crowd which stayed till the bitter end and gave all they got! And thanks @baskind who played a crazy closing set after me!

Eines Tages... hüpften die Hoppelhasen fröhlich über die Wiese, als plötzlich eine Einladung flatterte: Der Petrified Phoenix lud sie spontan zu einem Ständchen in der funkelnden Rakete ein. Begeistert machten sie sich auf den Weg, doch mitten auf ihrer Reise – oh Schreck! – hatten sie eine kleine Panne, als ein loses Karottenrad ihres Hoppelmobils abfiel. Mit vereinten Kräften und einer Prise Hoppel-Magie schafften sie es aber gerade noch rechtzeitig, um an Bord zu hüpfen. His mixes captivate with their dense atmosphere, which is created predominantly by cinematic transitions. It's a sound that fits well with our series. He has adapted it a little, though. But listen for yourself and see if you can spot the difference.

I'm an Italian DJ, I was born in San Benedetto del Tronto, a seaside town in the centre of the Adriatic coast. I started mixing when I was sixteen, seventeen years old with Technics sl-1200 turntables and after a short time I started working as a DJ in clubs for 4 or 5 years until I started university a little later. Now I live and work in Pisa in the Research Area as a technologist in the field of computational linguistics but the passion for mixing has always remained latent. I've been publishing my podcast series on Soundcloud for about 4 years now, typically releasing a new session on Thursday evenings every two weeks, and I'm now on my 128th episode. In my sets I mix several genres, mainly Melodic Deep House, Organic House, a little Progressive House, Electronic and also EDM & Dance trying to build a coherent whole.

Goraieb is one of the foundational figures of progressive house in Brazil. A pioneer in building a scene that transcended borders, he helped transform the genre into a solid and internationally respected artistic movement. His work has been featured on prestigious global labels such as Global Underground, Just Movement, and Plattenbank, alongside artists who have shaped the history of electronic music.
As the founder of InProgress — Brazil’s first collective dedicated exclusively to progressive house — Goraieb brought together talents, nurtured the genre’s culture, and opened doors for new generations of producers and DJs.
Since 2007 his productions have been supported by legends such as Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Nick Warren, Marcelo Vasami, among others, solidifying his presence on dance floors and playlists around the world.
Goraieb’s sound is defined by depth, atmosphere, and emotional intensity. With immersive grooves, hypnotic textures, and cinematic melodies, his tracks guide listeners through sonic journeys that evoke both introspection and collective catharsis.
More than a DJ or producer, Goraieb is a creator of sensory experiences. His music is driven by the purpose of spreading emotion, translating inner spirit and feeling into sound.
