Холодная Вода is an audiovisual platform ♫ label, but from now on it's also a monthly show on Radio Fantasia – we are happy to greet you on the frozen ground of Холодная Вода Isles. Each new episode will be aired on the last Friday of the month. This is a lovely opportunity for all of us, residents & friends of the label, to narrate about essential contexts of our artistic worlds with the help of different sonic textures & structures – that’s how we feel about it right now.

The first mix for the show is provided by Снежные Цепи, duo of Холодная Вода founders and curators, Alexander P. and Arina S. Холодная Вода Isles I: Снежные Цепи – You’re Walking On Thin Ice

Fake Rock Anthems — дебютный полноформатный альбом петербургского продюсера kolya. 

В своей музыке артист работает с эстетикой рока, — музыку, которую он прожил в качестве исполнителя и сильно любит. Продюсер использует хит-мотивы и доводит их до максимума: это концентрированная музыка, в которой, однако, нет вокала или ударных — слушатель ощущает это отсутствие и заполняет собой. 

Определённая формула написания рок-хита уже разработана, и продюсер лишь перерабатывает её. Выбор формата LP связан с тем, что это практика, свойственная популярным группам.

Главный персонаж здесь — это архетип крутого парня из американских фильмов, за спиной которого происходит взрыв или кинематографично рушится мир, а он поджигает сигарету, садится в кабриолет и уезжает под саундтрек. Каждая композиция из альбома — утрирование этого образа.

Fake Rock — известные всем музыкальные мотивы.
Anthems — кинематографичный образ рушащегося мира под торжественную музыку.

Fake Rock Anthems is the debut full-length album by producer from St. Petersburg — kolya. 

In his productions, the artist works with rock aesthetics - music he has lived through as a performer and loves a lot. Kolya uses hit motifs and takes them to the max: it's concentrated music, which, however, has no vocals or drums - the listener feels this absence and fills himself in. 

A certain formula for writing a rock hit has already been developed, and the producer only recycles it. The choice of the LP format is due to the fact that it is a practice common to popular bands.

The main character here is the archetype of the tough guy from American movies, behind whom the world explodes or collapses cinematically, and he lights up a cigarette, sits in a convertible and drives off to the soundtrack. Every track on the album is an exaggeration of that image.

Anthems — cinematic image of the collapsing world with solemn music.

Ethereal mixes series is continued by a duet from Bashkortostan - artist Mleko Kamen and producer Sijaet Zhizn. At the end of April, the musicians debuted with the song “Veter” and music video. In the summer, the duo will present the single "Znaki na tele".

For the new part of our series, we invited artist Dima Komarov from St. Petersburg, also known as Polska Octavia.

Thinking about the saving nature of nostalgia in a particularly difficult time for himself, Dima says that many of his creative manifestations were born precisely from this feeling. “Most of the tracks in the mix are dug up from old forgotten VKontakte messages, and one of them is ten years ago.”

Last month, Dmitry’s debut long-play “Месседж” (“Messedzh”) was released. It was mastered by the producer Sijaet Zhizn'. In addition to him, Paita, mc ulybochka, Mushiwa and marinamastihin took part in the creation.

A couple of years ago, Komarov released a mini-album “Mechta Nerazrushima” and a mixtape “Volshebnaja Poljana” on the Holodnaja Voda label, recorded in memory of the musician Evgeny Mychak aka Stancija Videopark. A year later, his next EP “Letnjaja Noch'” in collaboration with Julius Payer Hütte Pulsar was released.
