The next ethereal mix is by Kalione. This year she self-released her first solo EP "Severnye Zemly", featuring Rab Neba, 4TUNA and Buttechno, who is responsible for mastering.

“This mix is ​​about experiencing the dark period of my life that came on my journey to Asia.”

The new guest of our mix series is Rab Neba.

In May, the artist released an EP titled "(A)Iphoria" through Imum Coeli, and earlier that month he performed at a Beatriz/TESTFM joint event in Bangkok.

The compilation «Garden of Beatriz: Enchanted» was born a year ago, in the wake of our camp at the Signal Festival 2022. The compilation is scheduled to premiere on July 21st. The release will be available on all platforms.

Nerd Syndicate began as a small collective in early 2020. This project was originally conceived as a way to turn the spotlight on the outcast side of electronic music scene. Some of the artists, whose works are featured in this compilation, are making their debut here, while some are more established, but, nonetheless, share the same outsider vision as we do. More experienced artists might draw attention to the emerging ones. We lift each other up. 

It’s hard to pinpoint the exact genre spectrum of the release. This body of work is an infantile collection of broken sounds and split perception experiences. We are all drawn to reinventing syncopated riddims and finding pleasure in haunting soundscapes, detailed sound designs.  

After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, this compilation underwent a significant change. All the profits from this release will be donated to an NGO helping people in Ukraine. We also welcome you to donate to the organization directly.

You've been waiting for this moment for a long time, and finally... New, fresh, beautiful and as cool as a morning in the northern forests mix from Arté. This mix for W A V E S was created with an intent to embody the music and feeling of today. What emotions and hopes arise in us as we experience today's events? Distracting from the daily routine and melancholy, where do we turn our gaze, and what do we hear when we close our eyes?

All these questions are heard in Arté's cold selection, who is inspired by the black metal scene, idm and latin club music. How do these different genres match together within the same storytelling? This mix has a cold and relentless, insistent and powerful narrative that takes away our anxieties and invites us on an hour-long journey through rocky terrain.

Arté – Mixtape For W Λ V E S 103

Fresh mix for our series is presented by Isa Enes, an artist and DJ born and raised in the Azores, Portugal, who has recently become an active participant in the club life of Barcelona.

In her work, Isa gives preference to ambient, techno, bass music, dubstep and working with breaks. Her affinity for searching peculiar sounds  makes her DJ sessions generate dynamic and intriguing atmospheres that envelop listeners, inviting them to travel in the infinite sonic universe.

Isa recently played in Berlin a DJ Set at Crack Bellmer, now featured in Resident Advisor magazine as "Mix Of The Day", on August 15th.

Meet new ethereal mix prepared by the Rai project - an independent experimental electronic group from Moscow, consisting of Nastya Pavlova, Georgy Yakubov (dj 8luetic) and Al Durahi Lamia Musallem (lam).

At the end of last month, the team presented their debut mini-album “Palindr0m”, which was composed in two days in a workshop on Komsomolsky Prospekt together with DJ HeadSick.

In August, the trio gave a concert at the “Raiskoe” exhibition in the “Sklad №3” art space. Nastya and Lamia presented their drawings and posters, and also played the mix “Ya zhivu v bashn3 4aya na ulitz3 kof3”, which was later released on their Soundcloud page.

A year earlier, the artists were included in the lineup of the “shalash” event from the "Pole" cultural center.

For the seventieth episode of our “ethereal mixes” series we invited performer and producer from St. Petersburg Diana Kovaleva a.k.a xvostik.

At the beginning of September the label /rakurs/ released Diana’s second album “Forest Eyes”. Her song “Sleep Demon” was supplemented with a video clip from Polina Yarosh and Artem Agafonov.

Last year she shared her debut full-length “Koshki” on the platform. We also recommend listening to artist’s another work - the mini-album “Neserieznost” (2021) from the Welofi catalog.

Earlier this fall, she recorded a joint composition “Pomogi mne vyshit” with Pochtischastie from the new long-play and prepared the track “Tak bolshe nelzia” for the compilation “Garden of Beatriz: Enchanted” by the Beatriz community.
