Our “ethereal mix” series is continued by the Russian artist Nika Maurer aka Lost Helmet aka Lutin.

As part of the first project, Nika shared the compositions “Womb” and “Steel” over the past month, as well as the double single “True Gore apt. 1/True Gore apt. 2". Apart from self-released “Womb”, both releases were presented on the Moscow label Eternal Delight.

Under a different nickname, Maurer presented the album “Gradual Change of Pleasure” at TESTFM this spring. On September 1st, she released one more mix specially for the platform.

ethereal mix 064: Lost Helmet

A new mix was prepared by Ilya, producer from St. Petersburg, a.k.a Ilia Ptpf (and before that as ptpf). The material consists of unreleased, already released and upcoming tracks by the author.

Earlier this month, Ilya independently released the double single “First Breath / Exhalation”, and in April last year he released the mini-album “Adenesde”.

In 2019, his debut album "Salivation" was released by London's "Quantum Natives". A year later, he presented the EP “Obsession” on the Gin&Platonic platform. Selected track from this work were supplemented with remixes from Rina Priduvalova, Ice_Eyes and Ornine.

Our mix series is continued by Jussi Hertz aka Romance Relic, a Finnish multidisciplinary artist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and head of the World Canvas label.

Hertz's work is influenced by experimental electronic, modern classical and ambient music. The artist uses field recordings, recycled sound bites from TikTok, synthesized melodic samples and vocal verses as the basis for his work.

Jussi's releases were presented on platforms such as Janushoved, DISPLAY and Eastern Nurseries. We also recommend you to listen for producer’s latest long-play entitled “Breakwater Of A Veiled Heart” (2022) from the catalog of Copenhagen’s "Janushoved".

Last year, the artist independently released the single “inclus” and made his debut on Evgeniy Shchukin’s (FMSAO) label Fuselab with the album “Keys to the Earth.” Longplay is included in the list of favorites for 2023 according to our version. In January, we also posted his picks for last year's best releases.

"If St. Swithin's day ends with rain, it will rain for another 40 days and save from drought ('If it rains on St. Swithin's Day, it will rain for 40 days'). The same can be said about the mix that turned out," the musician adds.
