BARBARA'S STRAIGHT SON is a band from Athens (Greece) that uses live electronics, live instruments and live video projection. On December 4th 2014 (St. Barbara’s Name Day) they self-released their second album 'A memoir of Kilgore Trout' displaying for free on their website and distributing it in collectable usb sticks. Every live act is an energetic and psychedelic audiovisual experience (Barbara's Straight Son epk).

’’A Memoir of Kilgore Trout’’ is a concept album with central theme the work of fictional writer Kurt Vonnegut Jr. (1922-2007). From ancient religions to time travel, from satire to science fiction, from drum ’n’ bass to electro-punk and all in between, the tracks in ‘’A Memoir of Kilgore Trout‘’ enclose the band's past, present and future, borrowing their titles from Vonnegut's obscure writings and their context from the ambience of his books.

So far every record label that was interested in them had, beyond the excitement one small problem: there was no genre to categorize them.
