Welcome back to the December edition of the Gated podcast!
We're super happy to welcome Feryne this month, with a delicious set of varied tunes from the electro/acid/idm/techno realms.
A self-admitted music freak, Feryne has mixed her fave electro, idm and techno tracks since 2005. She's played at the many clubs and festivals of Hungary (Kontra, Wndrlnd, Corvintető, Müszi, Kuplung, R33, Egál, S.U.N festival, Ozora ect...) and other countries, like Germany, Croatia, Slovakia, Austria, Romania, France and of course the Netherlands (Drift Festival, Het Nest Festival, ADE etc).
She is currently based in Nijmegen (NL) and is also a resident DJ at
Nijmegen’s very own Open Source Radio.

We also have some new bits to start from Gated and a class release from Featherstone too from his recent EP for the Ernest's way label.

The Ep opens with  "404," a nocturnal ambiance takes center stage. The synthesizer tones weave a captivating tapestry, initiating a profoundly gratifying journey through pulsating acid 4/4 rhythms. Following "Weather Systems," cosmic dreaminess evokes pure contentment, with a neon-hued, blissful ambient backdrop.

The B side takes an even more melancholic direction with "Glumnite" that brings a dark midnight vibe, blending tempos into a mix of blue acid Electro and techno. In "Sing & Cry," the music unfolds organically, sidestepping predictable crescendos to create a melancholic atmosphere. A Saudi Arabian electronic music duo. a synthesizers /drum machines & Studio Equipments aficionados that consist of (Ali Homoud “Aura” & Hazim Abdulrahman “Groove Lock”) Both Hail from the western coastal area of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah city. Having grown up listening to electronica, electro, techno, video game music, 90s Arabian pop music, hip hop, new age and metal. “and whatever was available from mid 90s and so on”. The duo grew a sense of versatility which can be heard in their music.
Having Known each other online back in 2008, the duo shared a huge interest regarding music, producing, hardware, techniques, and Djing. But actually start collaborating in 2014 with a minimum studio equipment.
Their sound can be described as “Hardware influenced, experimental, mix between classical Detroit, documentary film soundtrack, Psy-ambient and hypnotic dub”.
