Sam’s EP boot’s off with ‘Chocolate’, a track that builds and builds using detuned synths, stabs and funky drums to make any dance floor erupt. ‘Domino’ is a track that’s bassline drones underneath its own distinctive synth line to keep the drums rolling along steadily. The title track ‘Black Leather’ is everything you would expect in a Drumcode record; a subtle throbbing bass line which, keeps the track moving before the synth stabs enrapture the track and twist it into a dark, throbbing composition. The final track ‘Daegon’ uses dubbed out drums to incorporate a synth melody line that will blow your socks off and rounds off this well shaped EP.

There's not really much else to say about this one. The names dropped in the title alone lets your ears know what they're in store for.

Detroit's Burden brothers, more commonly known as Octave One, have been making classic techno from their roots since 1990 – and, much to our pleasure, have continued to produce, DJ and play sensational live sets as though no time has passed. 25 years on, their music still fuels the dancefloors of 2nd gen. techno lovers, as well as being picked up and reworked by modern dance music's most valuable players –  of which Paul Woolford is most certainly one.

When asked about his "Lose Myself" rework, Paul shared that Octave One and their 430 West label "have been inspirations to me for so many years. We met through mutual friends and immediately connected, following various gigs together globally. It was an honour to be invited to work on something for the Detroit label. My intention was to bring out the soulful edge of Octave One's sound and place it within the framework of a track that would work towards the end of the night." For the first release of the new year , Etruria Beat´s prodigy Dast is  back with a four tracker ep Pangea.
2015 was crazy for the Italian producer his Deep Down track (also on Etruria Beat ) was all over the place , played by the main cats and licenced by Papa Sven himself for his Sound of The Fifteenth Season  on his Cocoon  imprint. 
This first encounter with the Frankfurt label led to the release of Paranormal Effect which was also  big success. 
But now is the time to come back home!
This new record starts with  the title track Pangea,  we can directly recognize Dast signature of  shuffle drums and catchy synth lines , dreamy pads and strong melodies. 
Next is Luca Agnelli's rework, Etruria label owner chose to keep most of the synthesizer parts and lay down a strong techno beat under them a subtile mix of rough and soft.
The B side start with Panthalassa that is synonym of “Party”, involving, melodic, in complete Dast style.
The ep close with French Clio (already seen on Adam Beyer´s Drumcode) that is  giving a relecture to Panthalassa
with a massive kick and base in “Techno Frequencies” style.
