November the 5th meets an exceptional DJ and Producer RSRRCT to return to CODEX with a heavy hitting two track release! 

RSRRCT has found his home base between Koh Phangan and Amsterdam. Born in Washington D.C., RSRRCT discovered a love for electronic music early in life. At the age of 17, he made the leap and purchased Ableton and got to work learning the craft. RSRRCT produced as a hobby for several years until, at the age of 23, he relocated to the Dutch capital of Amsterdam where he discovered his love for techno. 

In a short time RSRRCT has managed to create a deep and driving signature sound that is strongly influenced by late 90s Techno, House, and Electronica. RSRRCT's sound covers a wide spectrum from heavy driving techno on one end to a more melodic and nuanced sound at the other end. 

RSRRCT is a regular on the rave circuit in Amsterdam. His first gigs were on this scene in empty warehouses, an abandoned office building, or the various hidden spots tucked away in the industrial sections of Amsterdam. RSRRCT continues to participate with these groups and considers it a vital and vibrant part of electronic music culture. 

The lead song, "The Day They Came For Me" is a rolling heavy kick laden dance floor oriented track. It has a strong hypnotic lead with a vocal like synth designed after a similar one in the song "Oh Yeah", by the group Yello. The B side is another dark techno track with a stabby bass that opens up throughout the track and vocal line recorded by RSRRCT himself.

BEC is back on her own imprint with a unique twist to her new EP 'Freedom'. Release 005 not only comes with three exceptional techno cuts but also dives into the correlation between the mind and freedom. With these three tracks, for
the first time, BEC officially launches herself into the NFT realm. Each track will be released with only one exclusive NFT via Opensea (minting Fri 25th Feb / link to come), dropping on the release date of 25th March. This release wouldn’t be complete without the insanely surreal and captivating artwork that BEC designed herself, uniquely animated for each token. BEC explores what the meaning of what Freedom actually entails. The lyrics in the title track give a first direction of how the mind is strongly intertwined with our ability to either be free, or restrained by our thoughts. Rhythmic drums, industrial textures and walls of white noise bring real tension to “Freedom”, as the hypnotic acapella speaks for itself. Carrying such a strong concept to the track, aiming to motivate listeners to be more free of their thoughts. “Observation” is next and encourages us to be the observer of our thoughts, without getting absorbed by them and getting into a cycle of negative thoughts – hence the name of the closing track of the EP “Mind Cycle”. Connoting the polar opposite to Freedom. “Observation” consists of pummelling drums, turbo-charged rave stabs and waves of euphoric simmering textures. “Mind Cycle” has a fierce groove and mesmerising looping synth which takes listeners on a cyclic journey. Combining all tracks together, the concept is explained in one single dialogue: “Freedom” is the “Observation” of the “Mind Cycle”.

Charles Andre, aka Charles Fenkler is a young and talented French producer with a passion for techno and is set for his much anticipated second release with Soma. Bolstering on support roused in the underground techno scene from his well-received debut Anklam, Fenckler brings his signature fast-faced percussion in his deep and powerful techno tracks. He may be young but he continues to prove his knowledge and passion, merging influences from Europe and Detroit. Definitely one to watch as one of the Soma new breed 

Fenckler doesn’t mess about as title track Program starts off with all guns blazing. A powerful kick steadily thumps away as a mechanised lead welds this track together, straight up hi hats, rides and further stripped back percussion add to this dance floor monster.

The hypnotising Function drops next as Fenckler shows once again that less is definitely more. Looped out, ringing toms glide across another ferocious kick as the ever so slight delay across the rhythm make this a fast paced Detroit reminiscent track.

Subject Perform finishes the EP off in just the right way; by taking things up another notch! Fenckler creates great tension throughout this closing track, slowly releasing the arsenal of sounds at his disposal, again opting for a minimalistic approach to his production.

David Temessi follows up on his remix for Uncertain; with three uber-functional originals. The Seventh is a stripped back and dry tool, with „Mr. A.' giving one of the most sinister vocals you'll have heard since a while. Andre Crom takes the vocals of The Seventh and injects a heavy dose of energy, creating a peaktime bomb. Syntax Error offers a strong groove topped by a relentless synth line to create a real dancefloor weapon. On God Speed, Mr. A features on another a dry and percussive tool.

Etruria Beat boss Luca Agnelli returns to the label as he unveils four fresh originals in the form of ‘Dangerous’.

A leading name within Italy’s techno landscape and beyond, DJ, producer and label owner Luca Agnelli’s musical journey continues to surge with releases and remixes via the likes of Drumcode, Soma and his own Etruria Beat imprint. Having played a series of stand-out shows to close the year including TIT festival (Malaga), Duel (Naples), Die Rakete (Nuremberg) and THC (Bogotà), not to mention a breathtaking performance from the top of Torre Del Cassero in his home region of Tuscany, early 2020 sees a welcome return to home turf as the Etruria Beat boss steps out to reveal his latest EP ‘Dangerous’, comprised of four commanding productions.

Title track ‘Dangerous’ unveils a high-octane ride through escalating synths, resounding kicks and menacing low- end tones, whilst ‘High Gravity’ utilises further infectious lead line work and slick, metallic drum licks. Next, ‘End Of Time’ sees the introduction of soaring melodies alongside off-kilter sonics and tripped-out vocal snippets, before closing proceedings with ‘Acidulous’, a driving acid-led effort that snakes through both tough and more melodic territories in impressive fashion.

entitled 'The Colours Of The Day EP'.

Since 2008 renowned Italian artist Luigi Madonna has released on Plus 8, Drumcode, Second State and
Octopus, alongside performing across the globe including at Awakenings, Amnesia, fabric, Watergate
and Sound Museum Vision in Tokyo. Now, continuing to expand his awe-inspiring catalogue and place
amongst the wider techno community, he brings his thundering and infectiously rhythmic techno to
 Redimension.

'Midnight Sun' opens with flying synths, cantering drums and spaciously sweeping snares that briskly
fuels the audio journey into techno bliss. On the flip, 'Dark Yellow' drives with industrial kicks, layered
claps, saturated keys and propulsive percussion until 'Dark Grey' concludes with zapping stabs, subtly
emerging bass and polished cymbal patterns.

Markantonio’s label AnalyticTrail closes out 2020 by looking to the future with a compilation release that showcases a selection of up and coming artists that are set for big things in 2021.

Handpicked by Markantonio, the release features a selection of artists and with the exception of Shabaam, they are all making their debut on AnalyticTrail.

Individually, some of them have already featured on other imprints such as Phobiq, Set About, Codex, Reload, Riot Recordings, Unity Records, Say What?, Octopus, Unrilis, Second State, Senso Sounds, Respekt and many others of equal note.

Some might also recognise the name Push from classic '90s trance tracks such as “Strange World” which was recently remixed and rereleased on Terminal M. Retro-Active is the new techno alias of this already accomplished producer of timeless electronic music.

Touching on a full spectrum of techno including acid, industrial, stripped back, melodic and atmospheric, this dark and dance floor focused release is an annual compilation that in previous years has helped kick-start the career of many a successful artist of recent times.
