Vol. 69 is a mix by vdme, a dj / producer from Miami who recently released a collaborative tape with Night Foundation on Noir Age. This recording draws a line between his Miami contemporaries / friends and other artists around the globe who are operating within similar sound worlds. Softly oscillating between clearly defined rhythms and those which are more gaseous in shape.

We raise funds for local organizations supporting Asian femme, LGBTQIA+, sex workers, and low-income immigrant demographics in the NY area.

The Norman Records podcast returns after countless (two) requests and a whole bunch of baited breath! We're massively thrilled to welcome Australian post-rock crew Tangents to the fold, who have an upcoming record called 'New Bodies' on the way. If it's anywhere near as good as their last, stringently jammed masterwork 'Stateless', then we're all on a Northern Rail hype train.

Tangents' music lives for strange contradictions: jumpy in abundance, it's also buttoned down, the band playing a sort of restrained jazz aesthetic as a tease to those who want them to give in to the climaxes and math rock catharsis. Offering hints of Do Make Say Think, Jaga Jazzist and Ex-Easter Island Head, they're perpetual but never still; in this mix by bandmember Peter Hollo, they reimagine the movements and segues of their sound, effectively remixing themselves into new, unrefined contexts. It's a blast!

'Apparition Floor' is a set of musikal responses to excerpts to Giorgio de Chirico’s wild metaphysical novel Hebdomeros. It follows the protagonist Hebdomeros' journey through an enigmatic, sullen landscape of doorways, columns, gas lamps and blind windows. The sounds map the weird architecture and wonky lay of the land.
