The Eleusinian Mysteries of ancient Greece, the oldest of their kind, were celebrated annually for at least a thousand years, until 329 CE. The festival started in early September in Eleusis, a town 14 miles from Athens, and was known as the most mysterious of the ancient Greek world. The major multi-day rites of the Mysteries were closely related to the myth of Demeter and her daughter Persephone. The sacred story of their bitter separation and joyful reunion served as catalysts for the spiritual enlightenment of the initiates and the rituals intended to evoke an overwhelming and ineffable experience.

Beatroots takes us journeying through a multi-genre full length feature, "Rekindle". Exploring trip-hop and bass music interwoven with dubstep and half time drum & bass. Rhythmic playfulness a plenty, mood swings and subtle sound design experiments that intermingle between the grooves and chord play. An emotive motion stimulus containing vibes to suit all listeners. 
The title track features vocals sang by, Alice Hazel, recorded at Beatroot's home studio in Mid-West Wales. The vocals are about rekindling relationships and motivating good, wholesome energy in to our daily actions amongst the people we share time with. 
Wishing you well journeying through the places this collection may take you. It's a change in direction in many ways, but holds steadfast to the Beatroots feeling and intention. Moods, steady grooves & perpetual movement. . .

Liberation is a fusion of psychedelic downtempo hips and hops whereby its soundscape provides a source of freedom for the mind to become still while driving rhythms, melodies and bass guide us along this frequency meditation into the realm of cosmic bliss.

Inspired by spiritual and philosophical teachings from around the world but especially yogically, Liberation was a feeling that had arisen from the desire to fuse multiple interests over the course of a track. Having ventured first into the realm of psychedelics years back and then through many other avenues, it only made sense to organically find a way back to the source. Initially, the project began as an experiment to see if this alchemy was possible. Finally, having found this sense of 'release' from having to produce one kind of sound and box it so to speak, 4 tracks were honed and cultivated in order to allow its natural unfolding into the material world.

Juliette Bourdeix aka Youthie commence la trompette à 6 ans, et entre au conservatoire de Paris à 17 ans en trompette classique. Elle suit également une formation de jazz, et des cours d’improvisation avec Ibrahim Maalouf.

Diplômée du Pôle supérieur de Paris, elle enseigne actuellement la trompette aux conservatoires du 13e et 17e arrondissement de Paris et à Saint-Denis.

​Elle joue depuis 8 ans dans Natty Princess, groupe de reggae féminin qui s’est produit sur une centaine de dates. En 2015, elle fait la première partie des Gladiators avec le groupe Roots Connection.
