From teaching himself various instruments by ear, including piano and guitar, to crafting innovative tones and beats with analog synths, samplers, and groove boxes in the Austin underground scene of the early 2000s, Kevin has consistently pushed boundaries in sound creation.

His evolution into DJing was fueled by admiration for pioneers like Z-Trip, DJ Shadow, and Cut Chemist, whose influence inspired him to explore new avenues of musical expression. Kevin embarked on a dedicated path to mastering the art of DJing, blending his intricate knowledge of music production with a dynamic live performance style.

Today, Kevin K-otic continues to captivate audiences with his unique blend of live synth shows and DJ sets, showcasing his versatility and deep understanding of both the technical and creative aspects of music. His journey serves as a testament to his commitment to pushing the boundaries of sound and creating music that resonates deeply with fans worldwide.

Originally from the far north of Alaska, APOTHECARY plays music that spans the globe. Weaving together deep bass, thick beats, and beautifully exotic melodies, his sound is unlike anyone else. Blending many EDM genres with vocals and traditional music from all over the world, the intention in every set he plays is for the power, joy, and wisdom of source to flow through sound and into movement.

Recently APOTHECARY has headlined Medicine for the People, along with multiple appearances at festivals like Sacred Acre and Solarpunk Summit, which he also helps build and create. He has shared the stage with and provided direct support for artists like Thought Process, Phyphr, Zingara, Peekaboo, David Starfire, Ruby Chase, and Equanimous, to name a few. He also has a deep reverence for Ecstatic Dance, and can be found bringing intentional movement spaces to life anywhere from Alaska to Costa Rica.
