With an outstanding track selection rarely below 130 bpm, @illousion8 strongly focuses on the heavy, trippy, sometimes hypnotic but always dark side of techno. This particular sound has rooted her in the local techno scene, where she has played at most of the Leipzig’s techno clubs, including Institut fuer Zukunft (IfZ) and Distillery as well as festivals all around the melting pot. Apart from her work as DJ, she also organizes a party series at IfZ with the @nebulakollektiv and is part of @featfem, a rising platform and network around feminism in art, culture and clubbing.

Philipp Läufer is a prolific artist based in Berlin. After starting the post-punk band Bleib Modern and his own record label Black Verb Records, War Scenes became an outlet for his solo productions. In his first live jams and recordings under the alias, he quickly established a unique cut of techno; a hybrid of relentlessly propulsive lines, bred with broken, machine-born sounds, forming conflictingly raw and surgical output.

In 2017, he made his debut release on Berlin-based, Instruments of Discipline, with the 4-track “Unsystematic Schemes” EP. Filled with metallic distortion and industrialised sound explorations, the EP hit like a lethal injection of unfamiliarity. Continuing his affiliation with the imprint, 2018 welcomed the second release through the label, in the form of the highly-charged, 4-track “Anorexia” EP. This second offering took a more focused aim at earlier hints towards techno, yet still retaining a signature mark of impulsive experimentations and military aesthetics.

War Scenes live shows are pure punk-techno, using analog gear and only the most necessary elements to keep bodies moving.

We are very excited to present the 53rd episode from CVRDWELL, featuring a special extended fully dance floor-orientated session, jam packed with relentlessly uncompromising techno and huge moments designed to give you that proper club experience. 

The Budapest born, Berlin based artist acquired his DJ craftsmanship at the age of 13, almost two decades ago. Since that time CVRDWELL has become a familiar face in the Budapest techno scene, through DJing and hosting various events. 

CVRDWELL has previously released on a plethora of established labels such as Warok, Postdynamic, Exiles or Induxtriall Records, to name a few. Beside his own career, he also runs the Budapest based techno event series, ’Vault Budapest’, which has featured some of the most reputable names within the techno scene. 

His music has continuously evolved over the years, from various impressions of the two decades of experience that he has spent in the DJ booth, moving towards an obscure, analog fuelled techno sound, spiced up with a sense of melancholy and modular textures. Recently he has also started to perform DAWless, hardware only live acts, which has gained him further recognition from the Hungarian techno scene.

As usual, turn up the volume and enjoy the chaos!

In an attempt to overcome the unstable, changing, and accidental elements of phenomena, metaphysics focuses its attention on what it considers eternal, stable, necessary, and absolute, in order to try to grasp the fundamental structures of being.

Methaphysical Unit is a new project resulting from the collaboration of Valentin Ginies and Eugenio Petrarca in art Acratep.

As Metaphysics explores reality according to the widest possible perspective in the same way this project was created to merge all the many aspects of sound from the most etheric to the most concrete.
The fusion of obsessive and deep rhythms of drum machines combined with the abrasive sounds of modular sequences create a unique sound atmosphere.

Through the Buddhist term 'Kleśa', which means mental suffering and anguish, the pain and repentance stemming from personal experiences and memories are captured. 'Anusaya' that endures pain through wisdom. 'Bandha' that blocks pain with a posture of abstinence. The theme sings the desire to overcome the pain starting with two postures.

Arising his senses from the bowels of Portugal, Deepneue grew roots in Berlin.
As graceful with sound he is united in motion, his execution results in movement. 
In a crossway of faith he collaborated with cultural others to build a movement, culture and system by the name of TrashEra, not indicating trash but emphasising the liberty of mere existence at its purist form, exhibited by empathy to oneself and apathy to the crowd. In 2018 he founds alongside Omer Saban (Lipstick Trash) the label TrashEra Music.
