I just like to produce

I'm the Chris Lowe in your future synthpop band, but you haven't met me yet.

Sometimes I post things. I was never into sharing the things that I created. I love what I do, but nobody else really liked any of it. Also, I don't make music (yes, music will be posted here as soon as I am actually finally finishing tracks) for you or attention. I make it for me.

Short (long) Bio?
Music to me is more like a massive collection of sounds. I honestly can't hear lyrics, just the spectra of the voice. I discovered synthesizers at age 6 and have been obsessed ever since. In high school and college I started buying up old 80s synths. At the time 80s music was pretty much laughed at and the thought of someone wanting a vintage synthesizer was silly. I couldn't afford a modern synth, so I bought what I could afford- cheap vintage synthesizers.

So...since I took electronics courses and developed a hobby of figuring out how things worked (building, designing, repairing, tinkering, etc) and that I've always had some coding randomness going on since I was 9. I decided I wanted more synths....so back to college for a CS degree and a career as a software engineer to support my quest for sound. 

What I want to accomplish here?
I wont accomplish anything. I've started recording for the first time in 10 years. My ex made this profile for me eons ago. I decided to start using it as I kept promising her I'd start recording.....sadly I never did that. I don't have the personality or musical ability to be a Youtuber so I don't mess with that. 

Synths:
I am obsessed with wavetables. I have a long list of wavetable synths including Wersis, a Keytek, K3, Wave2.3, ESQ, SQ80, Microwave IA, Microwave XT, M, Blofeld, Iridium, Hydrasynth, and then some. 
I always wanted the beautiful Lexicon reverb. I found a 300L broken and missing parts and restored it (the only way I could afford one). 

I love diving into the circuitry of these things. They're so fascinating. As prices soared, I found the best way to get something is to buy it broken and fix it myself. I was even once stuck needing a high powered logic analyzer, but unable to afford one- I bought a broken one and fixed it (that process was a horrific nightmare).

I listen to something and think it sounds cool....then go acquire it. I have everything from 40 year old analogs to hardware from 2022. About 80% of my stuff is from the 80s, though. If it's cool and I can get it for cheap, it goes in the synth rooms. I often buy broken stuff and fix it. I have around 70 synthesizers. I use a series of patch bays, Sycologic matrices, and routers to keep them organized. 

Personal:
I am very shy and try to avoid interaction with things that aren't machines. I am trying to inch out and see if I can share music. I have never let anyone; friends, family, romantic partners, etc listen to my compositions. I made a promise that I would try and put something out there....so sounds, phrases, etc will become tracks eventually.

Google 'synth studio'. Boom....You'll easily find studios with 70+ synths that are cleaner, more organized, better lit, and more interesting looking. There you go....the point of posting pics of my studio is moot.
