Some of these I've never heard before, like this one...

This cue always brings the Whirlpool logo to my mind...the Moog line especially paints a series of concentric black and white ovals in my mind. Synaesthesia? Or do I just associate this cue with Holly demonstrating refigerators?

Athens based artist Analog Trip (Kosmas Katimertzis, born 1972)
At the early age of 17 the young artist experimented with monophonic analog synthesizers,
drumcomputers and vinyl , playing at local bars, and while studying at university a few years later,
he became part of an Electro group called VCF, already known for their live gigs at Athens
popular clubs Factory, DOM and the Wild Rose.
Officially entered in the electronic scene in 1996 along with George Moog with a CD which was
circulated 25.000 times by a for that period well known Dance magazin (Lemon).
Since this success, which included airplay on CoolFm and LifeFm , Klik FM, Best Radio Analog
Trip was referenced among many Greek artist and invited to play his sets on various old classic
dance floors like Plan B, Face the music, Camel Club, Astron, Orbit, Zoo, Loop (Resident for 8
continious years) and Mommys.
In the summer the artist also appeared on Paros & Naxos, Monastiri, Linardo, Santa Maria and
Cafe Del Mar , Splash Naxos and among others to promote his music.
Recently Analog Trip's music appeared on Gravity Recordings, featuring "Galeraki Mykonos
Chillout Moods and Grooves", next to "Cafe Caprice", a more atmospheric style but none the less
accompanied with his own freestyle/tribal/deep and tech sound.
Has worked with artists as Nikos Diamantopoulos, Addex, George Apergis, Ilias Katelanos, Leo
Mars and other.
Has played in various festival as European Music Day and many other.
In 2008 created his own record label called Elektrik Dreams Music and released several remixes
on labels as Ambiosphere Recordings, Klik Records and Worldwide Exclusive records.

The Price Is Right ''Cliffhanger'' Mountain Climber Song

One of my favorite things in life is making people say things they never did, a process that is far too much fun for it's own good. This is a perfect example of such frivolity. This was taken from a phone message from my local SSA office in May of 2009, then mangled several months later.

This track was originally recorded by @Andre-Louis. He invited others to have fun with it and so I did.

I finally decided a flute would make a great instrument for improv on this one. Searching through the Garage Band sounds, I found the Indian Bansuri Flute. Out of all the flutes, this one seemed great, with all its articulations, for the piece. Enjoy!

This piece was originally composed by @Andre-Louis and was then posted for friends to hear. Upon listening, I experienced a mini explosion of ideas and excitedly got his permission to add vocals and improv to it. This is the result. Took me a little longer than I thought, but boy, was it fun. There is a piano riff in there that especially gathered many takes before I got it the way I was hearing it in my head.

I used GarageBand as my DAW connected to the Mackie Onyx 820I. The guitar solo was completed using a patch in GarageBand and the electric piano at the very beginning along with the grand piano further in are from the Yamaha P250 keyboard. Vocals were recorded with a Rode NT1A microphone.

Tasting the Sun (Modified)

Crossbar Tandem, or XBT, was one of several models of Western Electric electromechanical switching system. When you dialed a long distance call, if the location you were calling from didn't have a direct connection to the place you were calling to, your call would be routed through one or more tandem switches until it reached the destination. The different types of switching equipment made their own particular noises, and Crossbar Tandem made a very distinctive sound.

Back in 1978, when I first heard the Disco song "Got to Be Real", it reminded me of Crossbar Tandem. At the time, there were still plenty of XBTs in service, but now of course, they're long gone. Cheryl Lynn's song however, continues to endure, and my DJ still plays it every once in a while on Saturday nights. With that inspiration, I finally got around to doing a remix of the two. It features the voice of Evan Doorbell.
