Shir Khan and the illusive Exploited crew reveal the first compilation of the cultishly adored Black Jukebox series. It includes the sunniest grooves you’ve heard this year. ’Shir Khan Presents Black Jukebox Disco Jam 01’ is a soundsystem-ready disco-house jam which tickles the subwoofers beautifully and seems purpose built for eyes-wide-shut Summer terrace play in big outdoor spaces. Black Jukebox is traversing the wide spectrum of ‘dancefloor’ music.  There’s much to excite: All four tracks are built for rooftop parties with the deep V crew.
From slo-mo housed up boogie-soul, to a loft-party future classic, to a feel-good, sun-blushed, druggy, late night electric jam, to main room filtered disco house and subbass-bugged R&B…it’s all there.  It’s no wonder the Black Jukebox Vinyl series became buy-on-sight and quick to disappear. Launched in late 2011 by Shir Khan, Black Jukebox was mainly focussed on Vinyl Releases. 13 Releases later, this is the first compilation which sums up some of the best moments and features 3 tracks that were digitally never available before.

Introducing Kon‘s forthcoming compilation album ‘Kon & The Gang‘, we are delighted to present this 12″ sampler featuring two incredible cuts taken from the LP, as well as an exclusive remix from Kon

Opening track ‘Timeless’ could hardly be more aptly named. Sublime, smokey piano touches on the intro give way to an uplifting, languid disco track, jammed full of sunshine. Catchy vocal snippets, rock solid bass and guitar licks build up the groove beautifully alongside Kon‘s trademark staccato, squelchy synth chord stabs. On the flip-side Kon presents a remix of his own track ‘Timeless’. Highlighting piano loops and synth stabs from the original version, his rework moves the track seamlessly into Deep House territory, with smoothly rolling percussion and a hypnotic arrangement.

Truccy (better known as Compost’s Rainer Trüby and Corrado Bucci) close out proceedings with ‘Closer’, another sun-drenched groove with definite Balearic touches. Jazzy chords and touching vocals (performed by the duo themselves with assistance from Nicolas “Michael Ellis” Rogoll) lend the track a distinctly ‘live’ feel.

A delicious taste of what’s to come from ‘Kon & Gang<‘, this limited 12″ is surely going to be essential listening this summer.

Berlin producer @Superlover returns to @mother-recordings with his upcoming "Kiss" EP (which will be released on January 30th), we at Discobelle can premiere the track "Heart Drive" which samples the Goody Goody classic track "It Looks Like Love.

The track itself is propelled forward by a pulsating bass and crisp sounding strings making this into a warm sounding surefire club bomb.

Ben Woods aka @bosqmusic was born on the coast of Massachusetts, a little Peninsula called Cape Cod, outside of Boston. In 2016 he moved his base to Medellin, Colombia, to immerse himself in the culture and sounds he so much adored.

Bosq’s has a new album coming out called “Love & Resistance” and is a collection of songs that reflect a producer’s continuing emergence by diving deeper into his influences. The strains of Afro and Latin flavours are interwoven and still heavily permeate but the underlying groove and rhythms have taken on a more modern, jazz-funk and disco-soul vibe with nods to Bobby Caldwell, Roy Ayers, the Mizell brothers and Nile Rodgers’Chic.

Our favourite cut off the LP, 'In Orbit' is a joyous piano funk stomper, full of soul and guaranteed to inject some sunshine & colour into your life when you hear it. A firm favourite in our sets right now!

For Record Store Day 2018 RNT ushers in the springtime sunshine with Férias ’77 Reworks, a collection of Brasilian revisions from label co-head JKriv. A longtime lover of Brasilian sounds, this 8 song double 12” compiles reworks he created over nearly a decade, drawing from some of his most revered and respected sources.
From the upfront boogie of “Relaxa,” to the stomping “Babaluae,” the tropical funk of “Rainha do Mar,” the downtempo sway of “Era Um Era,” to the almost balearic-leaning “Dotô” and more, this mini-album contains a wide swath of Brasilian styles and flavors. 
With beautifully vibrant artwork practically jumping off the sleeve, a free download card, and a cheeky sticker pack included, this one is an absolute RSD essential.
