The second movement of my first string quartet, Veil is another in a long series of attempts I've made to write what I consider to be the perfect slow movement, haunting, beautiful, spiritual.

Coulda Shoulda Woulda...What might have been at the Firehouse, a primo prime time evening slot on Friday night, but wasn't. The Dark Side was affecting me, and I was sucked into a Black Hole. I never cancel a gig, but I was in a lot of pain. Yet I managed to ride my bike over an hour before call, and tell them I just couldn't do it. I felt horrible about it. I recorded this in the Playa Choir Dome Saturday afternoon before the Burn, and then passed out.

Recorded at Burning Man 2012 "Fertility" on a solo night-time bike ride heading from deep playa into circling about a hundred yards or so off the Esplanade.   Wow!  I had my trusty rusty old Schwinn almost squeek free that year!  And the rustling sounds you'll hear is my Zoom H2 recorder conflicting with my backpack that it was strapped to in my bike basket.  Especially when I hit some rougher pockets of playa around the 7 minute mark.  Now PUT ON YOUR HEADPHONES, CLOSE YOUR EYES, AND TRAVEL *HOME* FOR A MINUTE.  ENJOY!
