Bourbon Therapy is a SF-based indie rock band that blends elements of Americana and pop to create tunes that'll get your feet tapping.

Their new album, Hymnals and Hangovers, will be released 9/9/16. The first single from this album, "Say Hello Say Goodbye," was released on 6/7/16.

Evan Harker, also known as Old Weather, blends the musical styles of blues, folk, and a bit of emo, and presents a voice as rough as a gravel road, as dusty as the desert sprawl. Inspired by line and form, the beating of the heart, and the remnants of fire, Old Weather brings to the stage a placid intimacy, like rain on a single-pane window. 






My name is Evan Harker and I'm 23. I'm from a small town up north on Lake George, and aside from a brief stint in north country, I have lived in Albany for a few years now. I began playing music when I was 12 years old after I'd gained access to a bass guitar It wasn't until 2009 that I began singing and playing the guitar. I was largely inspired by the works of John Mayer and Jason Mraz at the time, so I was dabbling in the blues/pop genre. As time has passed, my main inspirations have spanned to Conor Oberst, Ray Lamontagne, and M. Ward, as well as a number of local musicians, and friends alike, such as Thom Lafond and Carl Daniels. I began doing open mics on a regular basis in 2011 at the Hudson River Coffee House which really kicked off my interest in performing and sharing my tunes with the public. I am primarily a cover artist. I'm not typically one you will find playing the classics though. I like playing songs that really touch me in special ways, and I share them in hopes that they will touch others as well. I play what I want to play. I've recently began writing and performing my own originals which are bound to come together on an album some day. But as for now, I am just starting out and I am excited and passionate about music in all realms.
In addition to playing music, I am also a visual artist and aspiring chef. I attended four years of art school and am currently a culinary arts student. I'm just trying to make the dream come alive, and leaving myself with many outlets. I love learning, and exploring anything and everything that i possibly can. Some other interests of mine are sports, psychology, philosophy and Chinese culture to name a few.

Host of The Local 518, featuring Capital Region (and a bit beyond) music artists, which airs on 97.7FM WEXT Thu 11pm and Sat 6pm; Report and provide commentary on various Albany, NY region music scene bands, events, and etc. via the local music blog on the Albany Times Union website; Cohost to Mike Guzzo of CRUMBS.net (Capital Region Ultimate Musicians and Bands Site) for CRUMBS Cafe, a weekly music show which airs Fri 11pm on 97.7FM WEXT.
