more than ever 
I need that piece 
called heaven 
a place to call my own 
a place to welcome you 
home

I pray for 
security in releasing 
you 
from my hands
I've watched from afar 
as you rise and fall 
I'd be just as helpless
in your presence

my shoulders are bare 
flogged upon your alter

a sacrifice

to bring you a moment's 
peace

so that I 
might gaze 
into dark blue
apocalyptic skies 
your vision praised

blessed be 
blackened bruised wings

I can offer you no deliverance

you share a heartbeat 
with sorrow 
the only penance paid 
with
a needle

Tangled Existence

Within my peripheral vision, 
a familiar dream oddly inflated 
inside my sleepy eyelids. 
He rose, far from listless. 
Provocative, his only 
prerogative 
"Grind it to dust," 
he sweetly whispered. 
And like a diamond 
in the rough I shed
inhibitions. 
Hips bind, 
accelerating pink 
sweet and sticky. 
A brazen craving filled 
within my depraved demise. 
He, a hypnotic surprise
Exposed, elastic limbs
Drastic
Scandalous 
Shameless, without sin, 
lascivious nights 
have her rose petal skin 
elegantly twisted. 
No longer forbidden.

Tangled existence

That Thing

She's doing it again,
that thing you hate.
Shunned and scolded
in an attempt to abate

all the trappings of
that thing that matters.
She's crushing you
with all her clatter.

You pushed her down
left for dead.
Her and her thing,
for you, they bled.

She's flying up
from the dark hole
bringing that thing
thought dead in a soul.

You fight with her
with all your will
and that thing that 
makes your skin chill.

She's doing it again
that pesky little thing.
Her and her 
god damned wings.

Rain, rain, go away...
chanting children

But they don't know 
what's coming, 
It's all child's play now

The clouds are only 
gray, but there's still
blue to be seen

The sun shines 
on the shared

But they don't know, 
what's ahead

Skies turned black
And puddles meant
for jumping 
when it rains

Turn to rivers, 
flooding -

Rain, rain, go away...
chants of the children
drowning in tears

Chanting children

She swirls
like cotton candy
on your tongue 
Released with 
sticky sweet abandon

Stalking her prey
razor sharp and sleek 
Her void jumps 
from the shadows 
into your 
deep tissue

Her body quakes with
your frightened delight 
until the earth 
swallows 
her anguished cries

Love devoured her

whole once

and blacked out 
her angelic soul

Red glare and blue dreams 
eat at her insides

slowly now

She's shrieks and moon beams 
and winged darkness 
in the skies

Spun sugar and screams 
bleed pink 
until her night

is black

And she creeps 
back to shadows

waiting

for love to kill her 
once again
