The Black Light Disco show was wading once more through the blue lagoon waters of  myhouseradio.fm to bring you another two hours of disco treats. 

This week, we had a long time friend of the show taking control of the decks at BLD Towers for the first hour - producer, DJ and all-round top fella Shalvoy! This is a set jam packed with goodies from the off, and we know you’re gonna love what he has in store. 

Our guest for this week is someone who has been on the BLD radar for quite some time, DJ Natalia LK. 

For 30 years, this music lover has been turning the turntables as one of the pioneers aboard the first Djs Women car in the world. In 1988 she produced her radio shows in Paris (Radio Latina), then in Lyon (Jazz Frequency), Madrid (Cadena Ser), then in recent years on Morocco‘a national ‘Hit Radio’ as a resident DJ until 2015.

Natalia‘s sets are usually encompassing the genres of soulful house, funk, disco, afro and deep house with a sprinkling of Latino found in some mixes.

By no means a newcomer - but a fresh face on the disco scene, the weeks mixtape artist - Birdee has managed to carve out quite a path for himself, remixing luminaries such as Aeroplane and Michael Gray, collaborating with legendary singers Barbara Tucker and Angela Johnson, and releasing on Glitterbox, Big Love and Nervous - amongst other labels.

His music is supported by a veritable who's who of dance music: Groove Armada, Purple Disco Machine, Mark Knight and Horse Meat Disco are all fans, while radio support has also been outstanding - as a matter of fact, Pete Tong recently opened his BBC Radio 1 show with Birdee’s breakout single Start The Weekend.

As a perfect send off to an incredibly busy 2021, Birdee was crowned Number 1 Nu Disco Artist of the year on Traxsource, whilst also scoring an impressive Number 7 position in the overall category.
