The first hour featured two new tracks from me, plus dope sounds from Fingerman, Pete Ellison, Scruscru, Bootsy Collins and a load more. Hour two was all about Schoon Jr., a London-based DJ who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a couple of times recently. Frenchman Julien is the UK ambassador of theBasement Discos - one of the finest labels around, and you can catch him spinning tunes all around the capital and beyond. He’s put together this very tasty and lovingly crated mix of funky grooves on the housier side of things with a bit of Whitney, a bit of Teddy Pendergrass, a bit of Bob Sinclar and lots more.

He plays tunes from across the decades, genres and BPMs, mixing up hidden gems with tried and tested favourites, with a focus on sweet, sweet Disco music brought right up to date for modern dancefloors.

As a DJ he’s taken his trademark rollercoaster genre-fluid sets to locations including Glastonbury, ADE and Westival, playing parties for Midnight Riot, Good Custard, Project Bango, Pineapple Police Horse and DiscNoTheque.
