Presenting the third instalment of Funkier Sessions, on a mission to bring you diverse interpretations of funky music from around the world. This session is 30 minutes of Afrobeats from I MUSIC based out of Mumbai, India. Being totally honest Afrobeats isn't a style I claim to know much about... so if you're like me, prepare to be educated!

The latest Funkier Sessionis a good one - a 96 minute beast of a mix from a UK-based DJ and producer called NTRIK. I loooove this mix - there’s loads going on but it flows really well… starting off on a lovely boogie tip but building to something chunkier with original and remixed disco, some house and varied funky vibes. A few classics and some new discoveries in there too. It’s a really nice one, and you’d do well to give it a listen to see what I mean! London-based DJ, producer and radio host Even Funkier weaves together Disco, Funk, House, Soul, Boogie, Jazz, Hip Hop and Global delights to create something fresh, irresistibly funky and downright groovy. He plays tunes from across the decades, genres and BPMs, mixing up hidden gems with tried and tested favourites, with a focus on sweet, sweet Disco music brought right up to date for modern dancefloors.

As a DJ he’s taken his trademark rollercoaster genre-fluid sets to locations including Glastonbury, ADE and Westival, playing parties for Midnight Riot, Good Custard, Project Bango, Pineapple Police Horse and DiscNoTheque. And as a producer he’s released on over 20 labels labels including Tropical Disco, Hot Digits, Mango Sounds, The Disco Express, Midnight Riot and TheBasement Discos.
