The latest Funkier Sessionis a good one - a 96 minute beast of a mix from a UK-based DJ and producer called NTRIK. I loooove this mix - there’s loads going on but it flows really well… starting off on a lovely boogie tip but building to something chunkier with original and remixed disco, some house and varied funky vibes. A few classics and some new discoveries in there too. It’s a really nice one, and you’d do well to give it a listen to see what I mean! Welcome along to Episode 7 of The Disco Waltons Mix Sessions. On hosting duties this week, it’s the Cool Whip himself ,Shalvoy (Peter) DJ, producer, and certified he-man. NYC-born and raised on a playground where he spent most of his days, now based out of Las Vegas (baby!) he be Chillin' out, maxin relaxin', all cool Shalvoy is a true groove conoissur, a tough guy to pin down — mostly because he’s always lugging crates of 45s up and down the Vegas Strip. But we’ve wrangled him in for an extended session, were super stoked to see what he has in store.

He plays tunes from across the decades, genres and BPMs, mixing up hidden gems with tried and tested favourites, with a focus on sweet, sweet Disco music brought right up to date for modern dancefloors.

As a DJ he’s taken his trademark rollercoaster genre-fluid sets to locations including Glastonbury, ADE and Westival, playing parties for Midnight Riot, Good Custard, Project Bango, Pineapple Police Horse and DiscNoTheque. And as a producer he’s released on over 20 labels labels including Tropical Disco, Hot Digits, Mango Sounds, The Disco Express, Midnight Riot and TheBasement Discos.
